Sept 20th orders with October ship date, Apple.com buyers. [MERGED]

I'm really banking on that they are just saying that as a safe date, at the latest! No way you'll have to wait until November to see your phone. This is outrageous.

Reason I say I'm guessing that's a safe date is because if you order a Gold 5S right now it still ships out in October. So how would anyone get their phone the same time as us if they ordered today? This is my theory, it's a hopeful one.

Ok. Just woke up and discovered that my 32gb Gold ATT has an estimated shipping date of Oct 24-28 with a delivery date of Nov 4. I chose standard shipping and don't see where I can change this. The new problem, I am going away on Nov 1 and will not return until the evening of Nov 4. What are the chances that my phone will be delivered that weekend ? Probably 100 % ! What will the UPS driver do with the phone if I'm not home to accept delivery ? Any advice ? Does anyone think the delivery date will be sooner ?
I've never had as much stress over something as simple as buying a new phone. Can't wait for this process to be over. I still can't figure out the shipping times, I order 3 hrs after launch and people that ordered a day or more after me will receive their device sooner. Crazy

I woke up more annoyed than ever, WTF is this "ships on october 24-28 and delivers by Nov 1" I order this *****ng gold phone on launch day, and people who order after are already receiving the phone. Plus, my debit card has a pending charge of the total amount of the phone! , Im so calling Apple right now. This is just ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure everyone who ordered theirs on launch day will get their phones LONG before November. Why? I ordered my Gold iPhone yesterday and I have the SAME shipping dates (Oct. 24-28).
I really think these are safe date!
This info is the most reliable fact I have seen this week. If you truly ordered your phone yesterday and got the same shipping and delivery dates as ours (who ordered at launch day) then it might just be safe dates from Apple.
I've never waited for a phone this long. I considered the Note 3 and iPhone 5S. I know I can easily get a Note 3 today and have it delivered at my door step tomorrow but something tells me the 5S is worth the wait...hopefully.

I just got off the phone with Apple. They told me that my case has been escalated, and they are waiting for a research on my case to be completed to try to determine what happened with my order.
The representative said that, i will have to wait for a call back from them for further updates in regards this order. She wasn't sure what my "new delivered" by date will be, other than the same thing i see, which is Nov 1.

That's my point exactly !! I got up early on launch day and got my order in pretty quickly. I could have stayed in bed and heck, ordered a week later and still got the same delivery date ? It seems to me that if I ordered today, I would get the same delivery date. Something wrong here. Good luck with the wait.

Well it looks like they're going to be researching all day today. All of the orders in here are about to be escalated. So basically they don't know what happened with all of our orders?
Maybe Apple peopke are thinking to themselves: "All those who ordered after midnight on launch day are really keen for the product - we won't lose them. Let's process the other orders first.....".
Just kidding.....
No, they are not sure, Apple representative claims that it was really odd that it changed from "preparing for shipping" to "processing item" and also pushed my 'delivered by' date almost at the end of the waiting list.

Agreed titleist I am just so bummed. Wow. Not even the 2-3 day shipping help my order :/
Received confirmation Oct 20th 11:22, payment was taken Oct 10th in the morning. This has gotten ridiculous, I may just be giving apple another call
I really don't know what to say about your phones... seems like all the phones that were pulled back, were the 32s. Maybe they overestimated supply, and changed your statuses prematurely. When they finally were done counting actual stock, they realized that wasn't nearly as much.
Interesting to see how Apple responds to this!
Anyways like I posted earlier, the next batch of 32s will leave soon. Your order will be considered as one of the first, and maybe leave the factory for real that time. I think all it was was a matter of overestimation.

One thing that drives me crazy is that I ordered my i5s 32 gold 20th added a gift messege then removed it and till now it shows "Available to ship: October"
Whereas I ordered another i5s 32 silver 9/10 and now it shows "Available to ship: by October 18
Delivers: 22/10/2013 by Standard Shipping"
Please can anyone loosen my nerves?!
