Sept 20th orders with October ship date, Apple.com buyers. [MERGED]

I think apple just put those dates in place so people would get a rough idea about a date instead of october. I'm sure people will be getting their phones before then.
If your phone was shipped already, just click on the tracking link. The UPS page will tell you what method it was shipped by, on the right side of the page.
I wonder if they are having issues with producing the golds or something. There must be a reason all gold orders are pushed back to the same date.
Those bastards! I just check my iPhone status and it finally has a deliver date instead of October. It says:
Available to ship: October 24-28
Delivers: Nov 1 by 2-3 Business Days
That means I've wait for more then 6 weeks for my iPhone when I order on launch day September 20th. That also mean that I haven't had an iPhone for 6 weeks when my iPhone 5 broke the day after I order for no reason. They gave me this lame excuse. I was a little mad but I am beyond steaming mad now!! I would call to complain but I don't have a phone to call with
Same message for me today also. Ordered at confirmed at 11:24 9/20 and this is what I got overnight.

Remember they are launching 5S in more countries in a few weeks (or is it next week?)

It's quite possible. I'm still holding out hope that they ship before these dates. It doesn't make sense if people who ordered recently are getting the same dates as those of us who placed the orders weeks ago.
I do understand this but honestly, it's not fair. (I know, life isn't fair and this is "just a phone.") People who ordered within the first couple days have to wait 6wks (per the quoted delivery we received today) for our phones while they produce some for other countries who aren't even selling the 5s yet... How frustrating. You'd think they'd try to be somewhat caught up with the orders they have before launching in more countries.
If it has left the factory, there ain't a damn thing they can do. You would have to still be in the processing stage.

I have the same thing too... What is this bs? Calling apple has gotten me nowhere, maybe I will try again today.
I already have my iPhone 5S but now trying to get the gold color for my girlfriend. After trying to find one locally in our area for 2 weeks, we finally gave up and ordered a 64GB gold AT&T online yesterday. I'm also getting the same date of Oct 24-28, deliver by Nov 4 standard shipping, but it makes no sense that most of you all ordered weeks ago before me and getting the same date.

I can finally put all the stress and speculation behind me. Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement, throughout this journey we shared together!
As of 1:46 am, my baby has packed its bags, and is on its way home. Will keep you all posted on the itinerary, and it's expected to show up on the 23rd (although I highly doubt it taking that long).
Still in China at the moment, I wonder if it will catch the 9 am flight out of Incheon? I guess that's the fun, now.
EDIT: The 23rd is what Apple predicted. (and as always) Their estimate was wrong, and UPS has quoted the 18th.

Yeah but my payment was already taken out of my bank account. So it sucks that not only did my date change & I have been waiting for over 20 days but my status has been stuck on processing even after 24 hours of my payment coming out. This is not cool
Same. Knowing is better than not knowing, but that's a lot of days between ordering and receiving!
So here comes the date: oct 24-28, delivers nov 4. What the heck?! I guess I moved on from patiently waiting to simply pissed off. Going to call Apple too (never did the complaining part before). I sure was hoping to get the phone before NOVEMBER! Especially because my 4S is turning unusable, it's not charging anymore, been sitting on the charger for an hour and still showing 1%, btw it was at 60% at 1am and got to 1% by 7am on airplane mode.
Yes, they are adding more countries but why should that affect our orders placed on launch day? If the supply is so limited, they shouldn't roll out in more countries, or maybe postpone the gold one, it seems like the problem is worst with the gold iPhones.

You should ask Apple to escalate your order. Apparently, somebody from Apple is suppose to call me to let me know what exactly happened to my order and what is going to happen next.
Let us know what they tell you.
Somebody should create a thread for all of us that order the gold phone on 9/20, total amount were charged to their banks accounts and are still on processing item status.
