Yeah good for you. Even though I ordered a day before you. Gold 64 ATT.

WTF is wrong w apple. I've never had this much trouble getting an iPhone. Had one since the very first one came out.

My love affair w apple iPhone is over :/ going to think about canceling and getting the note 3 and just waiting for the new iPads. They won't be as badly prepared as this damn gold phone. What a mess.

(Not mad at original poster whose order is shipping but apple)

Its like you took the words right out of my mouth. I'm in the exact circumstance as you. I to order a Gold 64 from At&t and had in iPhone since the very beginning. All I ever used at home are Apple computers. Like you this squash my love affair with Apple to. For the first time I'm thinking about Samsung to. It's practically the same phone since they always copy Apple anyway. I'm thinking of that report that came out a week or so ago about Apple being the most favorite company or something. Ha, what a joke. They officially have the worst customer service ever and I'm counting the horrible Apple store service to.

Isn't that a bit of an overstatement?

Don't get me wrong, at the beginning of this week, I had the exact same thoughts as you. I had been waiting 16 days, with no end in sight. I was ready to give up on them, and then the customer service executive rep reached out to me. She reassured me that my concerns/comments/criticisms regarding this launch, will be brought back to other Apple execs.

I love Apple, and will continue to stand behind them. I have no intentions of ever changing to a competitor (say Samsung), unless Apple truly screws up... royally. I am absolutely uncomfortable with paying almost the same amount for Samsung's phones, when they're made out of cheap ass plastic. It is offensive to the consumer, when the best they can offer for a minimum of $600 is a plastic body.

It's a free country, and everyone is entitled to their opinions. You have yours, and I have mine. I'm just saying that this is just a small injustice, in terms of ways Apple could screw over its consumers.

Anyone that thinks their phone is currently on flight UPS109, anyone get a departure scan in AK?

UPS flight 99, is on its way to Louisville now. Isn't that the same plane yours came in on?

They probably just forgot to scan it again, before departure.

C'mon man. That's crazy talk. You DO NOT want a samsung phone. Just try to go for a walk or something. I actually think the customer service reps have been pretty understanding. They can't do much. Most of the time we know more than they do. They have no idea when things are going to ship.
Don't cancel your order.

You better think twice about that. I've been to Android land with several flagships and I can say they aren't that bad. Fully customizable and functional. However, I believe that you will truly miss the way iOS apps are optimized to run on iDevices. Unless you're open to that change, I suggest you stick with the iPhone.

I've had the iPhone 2G > Sammy Spica > HTC Desire HD > Sammy GS2 > iPhone 4S > Sammy Note 1 > Sammy Note 2 > iPhone 5S. This time I gave up Note 3 for the 5S because of the fingerprint sensor and x64 processor. Still, don't get me wrong. The Note 3 is an uberly top-notch smartphone. ;)

Anyone ready to ditch Apple and go to Samsung after a 25 day wait for a phone should honestly probably talk to someone and get some help. Apple can't make phones fast enough to satisfy demand, I don't know what's bad customer service about that.

They can't give you order details? Frustrating, but not unreasonable. Has no one ever ordered a "backordered" product before? You get it when you get it. No customer support staff at virtuallyANY company has detailed insight into what's going on in the factory on the production lines halfway around the world. Unfair that your order hasn't gone out when someone else's has? Tough, they're making thousands of phones a day, and it's going to be what's best for the company as a whole in terms of supplying demand, not necessarily making sure everyone in line gets theirs in order. Apple has more customers than this forum (aka the people who only buy products in stores, etc.)

Those who take the time to post on Apple forums are fanatics, so waiting on new products is agonizing, sure, but I think everyone needs to calm down. Apple isn't "blowing the launch," they're just short on iPhones. Ever try and get an Xbox 360 or PS3 when they first came out? Now that was a limited supply.....

This is nothing.

Does anyone have tips on the easiest way to remove the Apple 5s case? Feels like I'm gonna snap my 5 in half, trying to get it off.

My phone is on that flight UPS109, got my departure scan and it's the time the flight left.

Same boat as y'all. Apple everything in my house. Ordered Gold 64 AT&T on launch morning at 7 am CST.

Wanted to preorder like I've always done for the latest and greatest, so then went and waited in line, 8th in line to be exact. Was told all the store had was space gray. Then went and ordered at 7am on launch day. Now I'm waiting until November. Next time they need to do a pre order. A lot of unhappy loyal customers this time around.

Well, lucked out with a Gold T-Mobile 64G today. Online order with in store picked up! It was the only T-mobile phone within 200 miles of where I lived. Now I can cancel one of my order that I placed on launch day... Wait for the other one now, hopefully, I will get lucky again.

First off like someone said above, its a free country so I can do whatever the hell I please.
Second I never said I was going to switch I said I was thinking about switching.
Third you obviously never have had to deal with Apple before or unlucky enough to get a lemon from them. As a life long Apple user I've had my share of problems whether it's my computer to iPhones. I've been a iPhone user since the very beginning and upgraded every year except for the 4S. Through that time I never had a phone that died before which my iPhone 5 did. It was working perfectly fine before IOS 7. When I updated my music playlist was messed up. I hit restore and it killed it from charging from my laptop but other charging was fine. Brought it to the so called "Genies Bar." They told me it was a glitch they knew about and wait for Apple to release an update. 3 other people came in with the problem. Then when the power was gone it never turned on again. They told me it they thought it was the mother board or something. It was just a coincidence it stop charging yesterday. My 1 year warranty expired by a few days and they told me it would cost around $300 dollars to replace it.
Lastly good customer service is when a company keeps there customers update on their order. Good customer service is when a company make their customer who order a product from them a priority. Good customer service is when they don't leave there customers in the dust when they continue to roll out a product to their retail location and release it in new places on a already strain product. So before you start talking about something you don't know about, know the facts first! |:

My phone is on the same flight! bbotte, you are crazy for tracking the exact plane but gosh darn it, I respect you for it!!

I got lucky tonight and saw that the 16GB Gold 5s was in stock at my local Apple store so I drove on down there and picked one up! This was for my wife as we placed an order on 9/26 and it was clear we wouldn't be getting it for a couple more weeks. Needless to say, I'm the hero of the house as she is in the living room with her new phone. I don't mind waiting a couple more days as I'm sure to get sympathy from my wife! Looks like its gonna be a few good days for the Bluesbro! :)

Finally an update: status changed yesterday at 3:52 PM EST (e-mail received). What was the point of ordering on the Opening day? If the phone is scheduled to be delivered me on Nov 4th.
