Sept 20th orders with October ship date, Apple.com buyers. [MERGED]

Mines currently sitting in Hong Kong, where does it go next? Dubai?

Am waiting in UK btw...

Worst customer service ever????? They have the BEST customer service ever. Go to android, and check out their customer service when you're having issues with your phone. I have had a lot of phones, as had my husband, and the customer service has never been better than Apple's.

They can't give you order details? Frustrating, but not unreasonable. Has no one ever ordered a "backordered" product before? You get it when you get it. No customer support staff at virtuallyANY company has detailed insight into what's going on in the factory on the production lines halfway around the world. Unfair that your order hasn't gone out when someone else's has? Tough, they're making thousands of phones a day, and it's going to be what's best for the company as a whole in terms of supplying demand, not necessarily making sure everyone in line gets theirs in order. Apple has more customers than this forum (aka the people who only buy products in stores, etc.)

Those who take the time to post on Apple forums are fanatics, so waiting on new products is agonizing, sure, but I think everyone needs to calm down. Apple isn't "blowing the launch," they're just short on iPhones. Ever try and get an Xbox 360 or PS3 when they first came out? Now that was a limited supply.....

Exactly. Not to mention the Nintendo Wii, which was very difficult to get months and months later because it was constantly sold out.

I got lucky tonight and saw that the 16gb gold 5s was in stock at my local apple store so i drove on down there and picked one up! This was for my wife as we placed an order on 9/26 and it was clear we wouldn't be getting it for a couple more weeks. Needless to say, i'm the hero of the house as she is in the living room with her new phone. I don't mind waiting a couple more days as i'm sure to get sympathy from my wife! Looks like its gonna be a few good days for the bluesbro! :)

I really don't think they move today at all unless you have the faster shipping which I do not. The phones have to go through customs. I think Monday mine will go through customs and be driven to Columbus, and then be out for delivery Tuesday.

Got the shipping notification changed to October 24-28 , deliver NOV 4 and I call on apple and this nice lady rep change my shipping to expedited for free... So instead of NOV 4 it change to NOV 1... Seems like the female reps at apple are very nice :) , and yes it was free I charge hehehe..

It is just an estimate!

Good luck everyone. I believe your Nov 1st orders will arrive late next week or the 25th at the latest.

I would think it's a UPS flight, but not really sure.

The flight from South Korea to AK was UPS99 and the flight from AK to KY was UPS109.

Hmm... maybe it's an unmarked flight. I can't seem to find any UPS flights that go from ZHCC to RKSI. Either that, or UPS immediately wipes all record of that flight once it lands.
 
No iphone until Nov

I can't even find ZHCC or CGO in flightaware.com

No KY import scan, that's what is next, followed by a departure scan in KY. Pretty sure the import scan will not happen until Monday.

More conflict - just got an email from Apple with a status update. The email said that my 32gb Gold 5s will ship between Oct 24-28, the standard BS that they're giving everyone. When I log into my account on Apple.com, the shipping data says that my device will be available to ship by Oct 18 with a delivery date of the 25th. What do I believe ? Can't Apple get their ****** together ?

Newest update left IL. I'm assuming our phones said their goodbyes to each other in KY.

I'd go with the Apple order status page. The email they sent me with my shipping info, gave a delivery date of the 23rd! When I actually checked the tracking number with UPS, they told me the 18th. The order status page will always be updated, they won't send you another email.

Ok. It seems like every few hours or so, conflicting dates are sent. I'm getting emotionally drained !!
 
Okay so who ever got the nov deliver date don't really rely on that just check my status on apple website today and it went from nov 1 to oct 30 delivery...
