I understand the frustration. My phone was only shipped today so I felt it too. One thing that is helping me get through the wait is remembering that real people who aren't being paid much are working around the clock to get these phones made for us. Real people. They are not machines. The conditions are not fantastic. We want our phones, yes, but we should not forget these people. Just my thoughts. Take them or leave them. :)

My phone has arrived in Alaska. My scheduled delivery is October 16th, but I think it will be here Monday.

It's been 5 business days since I was notified that my originally-to-be-delivered-by Oct 11 64 GB Space Grey iPhone 5s would now ship in 1-3 business days for an Oct 17 delivery.

So I called Apple to get an explanation. The very nice person who answered my call said the phone was now set to ship by Oct 18 with an Oct 25 delivery. She escalated my call to a supervisor to try to answer my question on why the shipment has been delayed.

The supervisor could not give a reason, but said that Apple did not "foresee any additional delay."

This is ridiculous. How can it take 18 days to prepare a cell phone for shipment? (My order status has been "preparing for shipment" since Oct 1).

I can only assume that Apple is having parts supplier problems or manufacturing problems with the 5s.

Mike

I mean no offense to you, but that is much easier to say from a position of actually having your phone shipped. The rest of us on here who likely ordered only a few hours after you will have to wait what appears to be 2-3 MORE weeks for our phones to arrive, in addition to the wait you endured. I agree completely that the people assembling the phones are humans who deserve to be treated and paid well. But I don't believe that's an excuse for a large corporation like Apple to treat its customers that way. This is my first experience where I actually considered leaving the Apple "ecosystem" (which I'm completely bought into at this point).

Is that an improvement? Before it said October, but now it says 2-3 weeks when there's 3 weeks left in October. It still might as well say October.

That's exactly my thoughts. If you're gonna change the date to why thy changed it to. Why even. We already know it could be anytime in October -.- ugh #idiotlogic

You are right, but i believe that apple would not take it to the 3 weeks border. Thats it

Apple probably did that bcuz so many people were calling and calling regarding the october thing. And to b precise it is better now to feel than october as a estimation.

I also believed that Apple would not take more than 3 weeks (and counting) to even ship a phone ordered on the morning of launch....yeah, that didn't exactly happen, so why would I believe they wouldn't push this deadline as well?

Mine is also scheduled for the 16th, and it just arrived in Alaska also.

I believe it should get here Monday or Tuesday, and I live in NYC.

OK AND it was always October and still is October as an estimation. No matter whys it's still shipping in October and I'm till waiting over a month for something that should have only been at most 2 weeks. If anything they'll be getting even more calls now and lose more money!!! That date change was horrible

I am not offended. This was my thought process throughout most of this wait. I was preparing myself to potentially get the phone at the end of October and I didn't like the thought, but realistically, a few more weeks would not have mattered in the long run ... at least not to me. Like I said, I understand why people are upset.

After 22 Days of "Processing", I finally gave up and called it quits. I just cancelled my order from Apple.com and got the phone somewhere else. I'm done with this waiting game. To think that I ordered on launch day only to end up at the back of the line having a November 1 delivery date. Even if people will claim that the dates we're seeing are safe dates (which is probably correct), I feel that I've waited long enough.

To the people who got their phone on time, you guys are a lucky bunch. To the people who are still waiting for their phone to ship, I'd say hang in there if you can. If not, find the phone somewhere else.

Not ranting or anything like that. I agree with the other guy who gave credit to the hardworking people at foxconn. Those guys are probably being pushed to their limits right now trying to mass produce our phones. They deserve some rest also.

Congrats, man! :D

You were able to track down, and capture a unicorn. I wish I could be so lucky, then the phone would already be in my hands now. I always seemed to be just a little too late each time.

Enjoy your phone... live long and prosper!:D

Oh ebay... I would've not gotten it from ebay. I collect iPhones so if I can get me from apple I would. I did buy throwback original iphone and 3GS from ebay.

Thanks, you too brah! :D

I could have gotten it from Apple but I was late to check out and the phone was no longer available for pickup. As far as eBay is concern, I have gotten my last three flagship phones from the site. I always check for top sellers and 100% positive feedback (no less). I think it doesn't matter where you get the phone as long as you get the type that you like (Gold & Unlocked). Still, it never hurts to be cautious when buying from eBay.

Well for anyone who has a phone in AK today, UPS109 just left early (had 3 hrs to move the skids), and I don't have a departure scan yet, but they may be on this flight which just got in the air.

Edit, I see y'all's delivery date is the 16th, mine is the 15th.

Crossing my fingers, that my baby gets on the Sunday morning flight out of Incheon. 24hrs from now, can't come soon enough.:)

So do you guys think we will receive it before Wednesday the 16th?

I'm only 3hrs (ground) from Louisville. Columbus Ohio. Depends how far you are from Lousivlle.

I'm thinking once they get to Lousivlle, they will sit for the weekend. So mine will be driven to Columbus Monday, and out for delivery on Tuesday.
