I was just going to ask a similar question. I really don't understand how they can get away with this kind of insulting BS. I guess I could call in and bitch at someone and get a free case or some small pittance, but really I could care less. I want my freaking phone!
My original order at midnight failed due to AT&T's broken system (that's another story), so my order didn't go through until around 8am on September 20. yet almost a MONTH has passed now and I could get the same shipping date? Seriously? I have been a dedicated Apple fan for so many years, pimped them to so many friends and family, but I am close to being done with their tired bullcrap posturing.
I too could care about a free case, just ship my phone ! Ordered launch day at 6AM EST and still at processing. I have a tentative ship date of the 18th with delivery on the 25th, we'll see. My cc has had an authorization for 797.00 since the 9th.
Here's what bugs me a little. Some people calling Apple to lodge complaints about the delivery time just to get free stuff and they just ordered a week ago ! To each their own I guess, I just wouldn't take advantage of the situation like that after a week. Now, if you've been waiting a month like us, by all means call and complain !!'
