Woohoo!! :)

Probably good. It says it's on time and they tend to know what they are doing. :)

Michael: it's still weird how much later yours is set to arrive ... I'm so confused!

Mine is the 16th by 12, yours is the 18th by the end of the day??? Is mine going on a supersonic jet or something? LolImage

I think this is why:

Yours was given an "express" level. Mine was only "expedited". They will not hold over anything in the "transit" hubs, unless they had to. For instance, ours were held over the weekend in China, because UPS China only moves phone mon-fri. Ours were picked up a little to late, to catch the friday flight. We're both in Korea now, and we'll most likely leave there together. More than likely our phones will go together, all the way into Canada.

The only lag (like I mentioned earlier) will happen once it's on Canadian soil. UPS's job is to get the phone to the branch responsible for delivery, ASAP. Once it's in that branch's hands, they have to deliver it by the date listed on the tracking page. It will all depend on the conscience of the branch, and how quickly they want to deliver it. My estimate says Friday 18th, that doesn't necessarily mean that it will take that long. I have a feeling that by this time tomorrow morning, both our phones will be in Canada. And that my phone will more than likely be delivered on Wednesday.

That makes sense. I hope mine doesn't come tomorrow though, as no one will be home to pick it up!! >< My husband will be home on Wednesday until sometime in the afternoon so that's perfect timing for me.

Don't worry... it will show up on Wednesday.:)

Once it arrives in Canada, it usually takes a full day to travel through the GTA. It will move to the branch responsible for delivery, by end of Tuesday. Will be out for delivery Wednesday morning.

I hope so! There is someone on another forum who also has the same tracking details as us, but he is supposed to get his phone tomorrow.

Also in Canada? Some of the US orders, move through the system much faster, seeing as there are more flights within the US.

As for Toronto... there are only 2 flights. One into John C. Munro in Hamilton, and the other to Pearson Int'l. Not sure which one it will arrive on, but there is only one flight per day, to both airports.:)

May I ask, What time did you ordered and the carrier ?

I ordered off the Apple website on the release date; at around 6pm bst, and they seem to be using UPS as their carrier.
Again, goodluck to all the 5s Buyers and those in waiting!

Mine went from Dubai to the UK via Germany and I never got any arrival / departure scans for some time then they all kind of got uploaded at once.

Ya mine doesn't say anything either, and neither does the other person's.

Well that can mean only one of two things:

1. We made the plane, and they're still scanning / forgot to scan our labels.

2. We did not make the plane, and will be redirected. Some people in other forums were redirected to shanghai or hong kong (not enough space on incheon flight?) and will fly to anchorage from there.

First is more likely than the second... although I would not rule out the second option.

I was on UPS99, and didn't get my departure scan until late.

Not import scan for me yet....

Has anyone returned or exchanged a comped item?

I was offered a free case which I wasn't expecting so I just said sure! When asked "is beige okay?" I said "sure!"

I actually already have a clear case ready to go for when my phone arrives and wish I had thought to ask for something else from apple.

Since I didn't actually PAY for the item, I wonder if I can use it as credit towards something else from the apple store?

For those of you who are wondering, expedited shipping actually does make a 2-3 day difference. My phone was officially shipped and moving on 10/10 and it is on the truck for delivery today!!!:)

Probably not... usually anything given as complementary (especially in this scenario), is a one-off. They honoured giving you that particular item for free. As for using the item as credit for something else... depends on what the agent wants to do.

I wouldn't get your hopes up... but trying doesn't hurt.:)

I think it depends on the rep. The guy I spoke to was incredibly nice. The conversation wasn't like any other customer service call I've ever had. It wasn't rushed and he filled me on all of the details and possibilities of getting it early (as they are shipping estimates) but made sure to say he couldn't make any guarantees. After he went over most of the shipping info (the main reason I called) the conversation went something like this..

-'I see here also you paid for the expedited shipping, and because of the wait I can go ahead and take that off for you'
Wow really? That'd be great.
-'We can also offer you a free Apple case if you'd be interested?'
A free case? Let me just look at the colors.. Actually I don't really use a case, was there any thing else I could get in replacement of that?
-'Yeah, sure man. What were you looking for?'
I'm actually looking for some nicer headphones, I know it comes with the earpods, but I was looking for some in-ear ones. Maybe the apple ones... oh I see those are $79... (I had honestly thought they were $49)
-'Are you on the website? Do you see these ones...' (Proceeds to recommend me some sennheiser ones that are also $79, but aren't quite what I'm looking for.)
I'd actually think I prefer the apple in-ears, as I don't really care for the others because of xx and yy.
-'Well let me throw those on your order and change the price for you. You should get those this week'
Amazing. Thanks so much.

The kicker is I ordered on October 6th...

Checked my order status and saw this.
Still a little hard to believe...

Bad news: Also fail....They said the only thing they can do for my order is just change the shipment way, and watch on it, they said do not have another option for me....I made three call and three people answer me, they all said that....

Anyone else who ordered a gold on the 20th have any movement from "Processing Items"???

I spoke with an Apple rep this morning, asking about why people who ordered a few days ago received the exact same shipping & delivery estimates as people who ordered in the morning on 9/20. Beyond the typical "gold was the most popular color" stuff, he gave me the BS answer of "we sold out of all our initial stock, and so there is a large shipment of gold phones being made that will all go out at the same time. That's why the shipping dates are the same."

Are you kidding me? I told him I've seen many gold phones get shipped over the last few weeks, so what he told me is bogus. I understand these people are just trying to come up with some sort of explanation, but come on.

I'm so tired of seeing no movement, and seeing others who ordered last week get the same delivery estimates as me. Please, somebody give me some good news that your gold (32gb or 64gb) is now preparing for shipment???
