Sept 20th orders with October ship date, Apple.com buyers. [MERGED]

Are you kidding me? I told him I've seen many gold phones get shipped over the last few weeks, so what he told me is bogus. I understand these people are just trying to come up with some sort of explanation, but come on.

I'm so tired of seeing no movement, and seeing others who ordered last week get the same delivery estimates as me. :eek: Please, somebody give me some good news that your gold (32gb or 64gb) is now preparing for shipment???

When I checked I saw it was Preparing for Shipment....Then I woke up and realized that it was merely just a dream....64Gb AT&T Gold is still processing...and processing...and processing...I hate that status so much...lol

Sorry no good news from here. I ordered on the 20th gold 64gb AT&T and no movement yet. I only have a pending charge for AppleCare since Friday but nothing for the phone. Waiting sucks especially when my 4s is broken. :(

Thanks. Apple put a pending charge on my CC last Thursday morning...and an Apple rep told me that they have 5 business days to ship the phone once the pending charge goes on (otherwise they deal with bank issues of removing the pending charge). Not sure how true that is, but I'm hoping it is.

I hear you on the old phone...I am still using a 4, which is frustratingly slow (at least it works).
 
No movement on my 16gb gold, still says processing. I guess the wait continues. Still hoping that it ships before the Oct 24-28 range I was given...maybe I'm crazy lol.
 
Apple Business store just called and informed me that they received in a 64GB Gold and will hold it for me for 48 hours. So it looks like I will be picking it up tonight!! Hopefully AT&T resets the upgrade eligibility within the next 3 hours... Best of luck to everyone else who is still waiting!

I am in the same boat as you...... i have ben check on the Apple store availability and hope I can find one close.
 
Finally got my phone scanned. Scheduled delivery tom. 10/15.

I have been checking the Apple store online inventory every day at the "usual times" of 11am and 3pm PST, and there have been absolutely ZERO gold AT&T phones in the 32gb or 64gb sizes for the last 4-5 days. I'm hoping today might be different, but I'm not holding my breath.

I am a business customer at my local Apple Store. Been a customer for about 3 years now. We buy quite a bit of Apple equipment every year. The business team asked if there was anything I was looking for, I told them and they apparently got the model I was looking for in today and gave me a call.

Import scan, just need a departure scan and an arrival in Columbus, and then "Out for delivery" Tomorrow.

My phone ordered 9/20 at 7:30 AM EST Gold ATT was preparing to ship last week and I had a pending charge on my card. It then went back to processing and then I got the october 24-28 ship date and email that everyone got. The pending charge went away as of this morning. Sad....

I was just going to ask a similar question. I really don't understand how they can get away with this kind of insulting BS. I guess I could call in and bitch at someone and get a free case or some small pittance, but really I could care less. I want my freaking phone!

My original order at midnight failed due to AT&T's broken system (that's another story), so my order didn't go through until around 8am on September 20. yet almost a MONTH has passed now and I could get the same shipping date? Seriously? I have been a dedicated Apple fan for so many years, pimped them to so many friends and family, but I am close to being done with their tired bullcrap posturing.
 
yay, finally got the phone in my hands. i would say it was worth the wait but waiting almost a month is ridiculous! best of luck to all those who are still playing the waiting game.

also, i read on another forum that someone opened their ups delivery box only to find that the phone was missing. he had already signed for the package...cue massive headache.

i tried to ask my ups delivery guy to at least inspect the package before signing for it and he refused and held onto the box until he had my signature, saying that if there's a problem, i have to take it up with the "company." thankfully, there were no issues with the package.

Thanks for the heads up. That's definitely been on my mind for the last little while. So far it has happened only to a handful of people, but one would never wish to be in such a situation. I try not to think about it, but I can help having that thought echoing in the back of my mind.

Oh well, I'm putting the cart before the horse.:) I'm still a minimum of 2 days away before receiving so... whatever will be, will be.:D
 
Does anyone know how the faster shipping route differs?
Apple rep said, it's faster once it hits the U.S. Do they still travel through AK then KY?
