Yikes... I might be in for a bit of a wait again. The arrival scans show the same time as yours, but still not showing a departure from Anchorage.
Our phones are best friends! They wouldn't separate them now!
LoL I'm sure your phone is with mine. No reason it wouldn't be.
I will call them on Friday if it doesn't ship or if they extend my ship date. Unfortunately, I have no other avenue on obtaining a device in my area as the Apple Stores have no stock of ANY kind.
I see that some Golds are shipping, so I'm not sure what to make of the possible electroplating issue. Why just the 32gb type ?

It took me roughly 16.5 hrs. You might still be in for quite a wait.
Shipping date is suppose to be on the 18th but I'm hoping that it changing to preparing for shipment means it will ship earlier. It changed status 2 days ago after apple charged my CC, but then went back to processing after 3 hours or so. Hopefully it will stick and ship early this time around.
I really don't know... that theory I presented earlier, was really just grasping at straws. That seemed to be the only possible reason, why your status reverted last time. I'm not sure how permanent the process is, when they put all the components inside an iPhone. Maybe like I said, they went ahead and assembled them, only to realize the defect afterwards. Maybe it would have been too troublesome to disassemble the defective models and salvage parts, so they just took them as total losses. I don't know how many defectives might have been in that batch, but obviously (in the end) there weren't enough to fulfill all the orders they thought they could.

My shipping date is the 18th also and I'm still "Processing". Apple put an authorization on my CC on the 9th. It's not looking good.
Still don't have a departure scan... UPS really doesn't like scanning my phone label.

Hey guys just a quick question about ups ( still waiting for my phone to ship oct 34-28) but lets say the package arrived at my local ups hub for delivery next day , can I just call ups to hold the package and not deliver it? So I can just pick it up? Or can I request them to deliver it at like 9pm?
coming from the 5, i got my hands on a friends 5s slate grey Saturday night. No real discernible difference except the home button and even that took me a minute to remember it was the finger sensor. Meh. I'm over it and will wait for the 6. All this waiting and my 'have to have it' moment is gone. The fact that I wouldn't have gotten the phone for another 2 weeks and 5 days....pffffft. I'm more excited to upgrade my ipad 3 for the new one and to get a new mini as well. With the mini I won't need my phone as I don't really use it as much anymore anyways since now it seems to small. :/ Good luck to everyone waiting. I'm sorry but this was a failure for the Gold iPhone for me. I'm sure those who have them love them but i'm just over it.

What? Why? Do you know for sure your phone hasn't left?
No I don't know for sure... but that seems to be the case. You got your scan about two hours ago... I don't know if they scan before loading the plane, or during flight. Even if they do it in flight, I don't think it would take 2 hours to scan everything.
I'm just annoyed how disjointed this whole shipping process has been. Sure I understand the weekend thing, but why fly our phones to Incheon only to have them stay the night. Then of course fly our phones to Anchorage (yours because it needs to be in your hands by this time tomorrow), and leave mine in Sarah Palin Land.
It's not as if a phone is an oversized item... I don't understand why it might have been held back.

I wanted to cry soo badly today. I checked my status on ups and it said This shipment is warehoused until it is released by Clearing Agency. I was like WTF. My phone is supposed to be delivered tomorrow! I checked it again and whoHoo it cleared customs. Did this happen to anyone else?

Driver said he started the day with 20 iPhones to deliver today and still has 14 that people were not home.

Well apple's taken me for a helluva ride, ordered on the 20th with the shipment date of 24/28- delivered by the 4th.. on the 14th it was shipped out (standard delivery too?) with an expected delivery of the 21st. 20 minutes later it updated to the 17th which was 3 days away. The package arrived in dubai on the 15th which caused a stall in delivery due to religious festivities. As of today the 16th
its out to be delivered! sadly i will not be in to pick up the parcel as i have school to attend, i hope he gives it to my neighbor even though i didnt specify it.
2 days( which included the stall at dubai) by standard delivery to the uk, either ups are really good with standard delivery or i received an anonymous upgrade ^.^
Goodluck to all apple customers still waiting, its worth it yo
