Sept 20th orders with October ship date, Apple.com buyers. [MERGED]

Same here (was sitting for over 24 hours with no updates in KY). Finally "Out For Delivery" today (10/23) in California.
So as others have said, A LOT can happen in 1 day! Don't give up hope.

Not giving up hope. I'd like to see a flight out into FL soon then "out for delivery" tomorrow morning so I can stay home from work and wait for my baby ....Its been a long haul .....
Been checking this torturous thread pretty much every day since the 20th when I placed my order. As of an hour ago it was still Processing, never moved once. I've tried to avoid spewing more of my negativity in recent days but honestly Apple's horrible supply/demand shipping process is an embarrassing joke. I shudder to think what the iPad Air and Retina Mini situation is going to be like next month.
Anyway, thanks again to someone earlier who posted a great link that checked Apple Stores for stock (and yes I did donate to the programmer). I was just able to nab me a 64GB Gold 5S at the store closest to me through the online order system (after cancelling my online order). Bypassed a lot of people waiting in line too. Up until the last minute I thought they were going to screw me over and say there was no stock, but lo and behold there it was.
In all sincerity, best of luck to those still waiting, hopefully they honor the Nov 1 ship dates. Otherwise I'd recommend continually checking store stock.

I ordered on the 20th and haven't seen squat. It really boils down to the combo you ordered. 16GB TMobile, 32GB Unlocked etc. I ordered 64GB Gold ATT. There's quite a few of us 32 and 64 ATT's that are still waiting. I know they just shipped a bunch of 16's last week. So we're next. Just be patient, it'll come.

(edited out all the other oversea scans, this was once it hit the states after Alaska, and it sat in KY for 24hr before the "Import Scan" happened again)
A lot happened in one full 24hr day! I'm pretty sure UPS flys into your closest hub/major city, then to your local UPS distro center.

Thanks Michael ! Just got an arrival and departure scan from Orlando. It is on its way down south to me !!! I'm 2 hours SE of Orlando. I think this journey is about to come to an end !!!
I am starting to feel ill ....I may have to stay home tomorrow from work and get better

It is easy to become frustrated with the people who answer the phone, but they probably don't know any more than we do. I guess I have stayed away from calling for that reason. Apple has strung me out since the release day so I am going to just wait a few more days, not checking any flights or stuff. When I get a tracking number I will track it until it comes and promise myself that I will never get caught up in this Apple insanity again. Apple really dropped the ball on supply and demand with this one. I hope everyone who is still waiting gets their phone(s) soon.

Yes. They gave me free expedited delivery as well as they sent me an apple tv free of cost.

Crossing my fingers that I'll get at least "Preparing for Shipment" update tomorrow, but I kind of doubt it.
I hope so too since I ordered at around the same time. And it's almost Oct 24, so let's have our fingers crossed, shall we?
