I really don't understand why people want a radio in an iPod, the main reason why I got my iPod was so that I didn't have to listen to the stupid radio....
Mac mini may get a quiet refresh (GM45,802.11n), also updayed iMacs in the same month (to use a Centrino 2 class chipset-PM45).
When are we going to see a MacBook Air with a removable battery?
ipod updates maybe. MacBook, Macbook Pro updates no way. Many students will be buying over the summer months and almost definietly the biggest month for buying laptops will be august. A refresh the month after veryonea bought their MacBooks spells disaster. Apple won't do this, the same thing was said last year and every apple store said the same thing to me.
Sure, you're partly right. But it's not like it'll be too long after. It's usually october/november, depending on whether or not they do it at the same time. MBPs tend to come first. The Back-to-school promo does involve ppl getting a computer too, you know; and uni students favour laptops.
The article never explicitly says there's an event in mind, it's just an analyst echoing what most ppl suspect from years of watching the back-to-school promotion end and then new products coming out shortly thereafter. Every now and then, ppl are able to get newer computers towards the end of the promotion, albeit with outdated ipods (or perhaps vice versa), but invariably there's an ipod update and MB and MBP updates between the promotions end and Xmas otherwise holiday shoppers would be paying more for the same iterations of the same products as the back-to-school crowd 3 months previous.
Simple solution, just buy the computer you need now, and when the refresh happens, buy it also. Problem solved. That is what I do. Then I have double the fun.

I'm gonna guess an early September launch for:
- Redesigned MacBook's with an aluminium enclosure and Air style keyboard
- Redesigned MacBook Pro's with Air style keyboard
- Overhaul of MacMini, slimline design with a Time Machine form factor
- Redesigned iPod range to bring touch screens to the lower-end models, and matt-aluminium finished similar to the Mac line
