Totally disagree. I enjoy the uniform look highly.

I know it’s all subjective but I couldn’t disagree more. The white case is infinitely more versatile than the black case.

This combination is indeed beautiful. I would definitely pick up the band if it came in a non-leather material.

Since I have been struggling with indecision, I think I’m just gonna order both colors. The gray is beautiful and I love the jewel-like shine. But since I sold my S2 Ceramic, I would miss not having the white anymore.

You can disagree if you, it’s your opinion. I have the series 2 as well as a white sports band, and it never looked good together. I tried wearing it for a day, and friends thought the same thing. To each his own, but I think the cloud was so much better.

I would never care, or allow somebody else to judge me based on something that I prefer to wear. It's strictly preference and the Apple Watch does serve a place in the Watch world. I think it's your money and you should be able to enjoy the Apple Watch for what it is and look past others frivolous judgement.

Being mocked for “wasting” money on a watch with “inferior” sapphire glass compared to a $200 Tissot isn’t something I enjoy. I can’t tell them to “get lost” or something even harsher since it’s at work. I have regular watches as well which have real sapphire so that video did question my judgement as well. It was a combination of everything that made me return it. I don’t want people judging me, thinking I wasted money. Actions have consequences and I’d like the people I meet to have a good first impression. No one seems to question my sanity when I wear an Omega Speedmaster to work which is interesting.

Again did you read the real scientific review by consumer reports vs this guys cheesy flawed review? Consumer reports did a scientific hardness scale and the sapphire crystal did not scratch with an 8 mohs.

The real issue here is that fact that you care so much about what people think about you. If people can influence your buying decisions that much, that says a lot about what you think of yourself. If you liked the Watch, who gives a crap what other people think? Also there was one video, but you had at least 3 people in this thread that told you the sapphire glass held up perfectly on the their watches. You hear what you want to hear, and ignore the rest. I think you were just looking for an excuse to return the Watch. Why I have no idea, but these are not legitimate reason to return it at all.

They trust a dude making a YouTube video over a scientific review. Go figure. Like I said, I think this was all just an excuse to return the Watch. There is something else going on here.

I love the shine of the grey ceramic in certain lights. This is a case where it looks even better in person than in the stock photos.

I returned my series 3 ceramic because of the high cost. I spent over $1500 after tax with applecare.

I then went with a used Series 2 ceramic for $700 (applecare already included for 2 more years), practically like new.

In the end, I'm selling that one as well and getting a Stainless Steel Series 3 for that same cost. I really missed the speed improvements and the LTE of the Series 3 and after a couple of weeks the novelty of the ceramic wore off.

I’m in love!!!! Can we please get some more pictures in different lights when you have time? Was looking to order one of these...

Leather loop arrived in the mail yesterday - Definitely enjoy it more than the Sport Band for daily use:

This does look very good with the loop!

Have you tried it with a more traditional style strap? and in different color like dark brown?

Closest comparison I can give is this leather band I have from my old SS S0 (Made by Monowear). I don't like the look of it with this case, and I'm not a fan of the stainless lugs with the grey ceramic, so I'm selling this band. Also have the Apple silver link bracelet, but it doesn't look great with this color either.

What you do and what you wear is your prerogative. I'm simply stating that I would not allow or certainly not care if somebody would judge me based on a watch I wear. Because I'm secure in who I am and what my preferences are, and I don't need to be influenced by others around me to determine My style. But obviously you do and you allow others impressions to alter your decisions.

Thanks you so much, I was trying to figure out if the lug is darker and with darker leather(without stiching) will look good.
Did a quick PS on your photo (hope you don't mind) and I thought that color combination looks not bad.

The last piece (for now) of my White Ceramic band collection just shipped - finally. The Nike Pure Platinum/Black band is on the way. I am thinking it will be the perfect blend of white and not white to go with the white ceramic and keep it very interesting! I'll send pics on Friday when it arrives. https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MQWQ2AM/A/42mm-pure-platinum-black-nike-sport-band-s-m-m-l

I ordered that same band along with the Obsidian/Black on the same day I ordered the S3 white ceramic. The obsidian band arrived last Friday and I love it. The platinum band is supposed to arrive this Friday.

The watch was supposed to arrive today by 10:30AM, but hit a customs clearance delay in Memphis, TN. No idea why, but I suspect that all imports are randomly subject to more detailed inspection. It has been in Memphis since Saturday morning. According to FedEx, it was released from customs around 12:30PM EST today, but FedEx hasn't updated the ETA. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow, but I'm guessing it won't arrive until Friday. I'm only one state away. Frustrating...

Obsidian - I’ll have to take a look at that one too. There goes another $50.

Good luck with getting your watch! I hope it arrives soon and you can get to enjoying it!!

To be fair, the new band is soft white; it’s not as harsh as the original white. I own both now and definitely prefer the soft white to the original white.

One of my favorite combos with the white ceramic. Not a big fan of the series 3 with red dot though. I like my series 2 with a black dot a lot better.
Hm, I find the combination of stark white and the bright red, and another accent color like the lugs of a green woven nylon or sport loop band ties quite strongly back to 1970s graphical design, where you could see a lot of this kind of stuff - white and bright vivid solid colors with sharp edges between them.

Looks really really good to me, I'd love to be able to afford a white ceramic watch. Alas, not now, and maybe not ever. :p

As an Hermès owner since Series 0 when you needed to go to a select Apple or Hermès store, let me compliment you on your choice. The Hermès bands are the best plus Apple has to offer, and the face is designed for a rectangular Watch.

I also made the switch from a S3 white ceramic to a S3 Hermes Indigo Swift Leather. I bought an additional Hermes Fauve Barenia leather band.

Was always deciding between the two and the Hermes watch faces, the super soft leather band and exclusive orange band, easier to match stainless steel case and the whole Hermes experience sold it for me.

The white ceramic is a gorgeous watch but it just seems too flashy for me personally and it’s very hard to pair with bands.

I like the stark white of the original sport band, but I do agree that it's a little too bright at times. I actually own the antique white band when Apple Watch launched over a year ago, and it's also a much more toned down white version that doesn't stand out as much.

My white ceramic arrived this morning around 8:30AM. I love it paired with the Obsidian/Black Nike band - the combo looks very sporty. I've heard the nightmare stories regarding issues getting the watch added to your cell account so I was a bit nervous when I got to that step. It worked flawlessly - not a single hiccup.

It is very noticeably faster than my black SS S0. Really love this thing so far. I am very happy with my choice! And I know that red dot drives some folks nuts, but I honestly don't notice it. I wear the watch on my left arm and that means the dot faces away from me.

I do have one minor issue, but its not with the watch. The included round charger (the one with the pop-up center) doesn't work. I tried two different cables, two different charging pucks, and even two different watches. The issue is definitely with the charging base. I need to somehow get Apple to replace that one piece without having to exchange everything. I'm not giving up the watch so they'll need to swap just the charging base. I'm hoping they'll do that in the store.
