I ordered that same band along with the Obsidian/Black on the same day I ordered the S3 white ceramic. The obsidian band arrived last Friday and I love it. The platinum band is supposed to arrive this Friday.

The watch was supposed to arrive today by 10:30AM, but hit a customs clearance delay in Memphis, TN. No idea why, but I suspect that all imports are randomly subject to more detailed inspection. It has been in Memphis since Saturday morning. According to FedEx, it was released from customs around 12:30PM EST today, but FedEx hasn't updated the ETA. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow, but I'm guessing it won't arrive until Friday. I'm only one state away. Frustrating...

Is one of my favorites with the ceramic.
The new woven nylon bands are excellent as well

I’m in love!!!! Can we please get some more pictures in different lights when you have time? Was looking to order one of these...

Here is a shot with it laid across all my other bands. The only one I’m still waiting on is the dark olive. That sucker is proving difficult to catch. I scored a pair of Apple TV 4Ks but I still can’t get a dark olive band. My order is set to deliver Oct 10-17 but is still just processing.

What you do and what you wear is your prerogative. I'm simply stating that I would not allow or certainly not care if somebody would judge me based on a watch I wear. Because I'm secure in who I am and what my preferences are, and I don't need to be influenced by others around me to determine My style. But obviously you do and you allow others impressions to alter your decisions.

Quite a few people wrote something similar as this, but I’ll only quote this message. If you don’t care what other people say to your face, for saying you wasted your money, for saying you own a watch that scratches easier than a $200 Tissot, then that’s great for you. You manage to dress and buy items without any regard for what others think. You don’t try to impress others, and if you get feedback, you ignore them. I personally think it’s important to take people’s feedback and incorporate it in ones life but if you choose to stay as you are then great.

So you’re saying that many people around you have seen that one YouTube video with the Tissot? Why not point them to the other video that clearly shows the screen withstanding anything up to a nine?

I can’t think of anything worse than just following the trend, dressing like everyone else and looking like every other person on social media. This is the problem nowadays, people care too much what others think! “Oh my god, must get more likes on Insta, must become a carbon copy of those that do”. This is what’s killing society today and why there is such a huge increase in anxiety and depression amongst the younger generation.

But a 5/6 week wait, sad times! Thank you so much for the picture though, it's a beauty!

Incorrect. I have no idea why you're making asinine assumptions about someone based off an Internet post. You can't specifically identify what type of person I am. For whatever reason, you seem to keep deflecting away from what others are directed towards you. Again, what you do is your own preference, I have no idea why you're making assumptions about style or preference, when I don't have an issue wearing an Apple Watch about being judged. That's the great thing about the Watch, is it can be dressed up or down pending ones style, especially the stainless or Edition model. But where you seem to have a concern, is you allow others preconceived notions based on your appearance take priority. I find that strikingly odd.

Received the white ceramic model yesterday and instantly love it. For some reason, it looks a bit smaller than the 42mm stainless steel case. Anyway, I paired it with my iPhone 8 as a new watch. The Series 3 + WatchOS 4 sing together, the battery life is way beyond my expectation.

Sure I paid a lot for this watch, it’s a big jump from the 1st gen SS I have in terms of performance.

I pulled the trigger on the Hermes toupe band. I went into the store to get the saddle brown but thought the grey matched better with the white. I’m still waiting in my white 42 mm ceramic to arrive but will be putting this band on once it arrives. I also agree that the white nike band looks awesome on the white ceramic for workout sessions

Being mocked for “wasting” money on a watch with “inferior” sapphire glass compared to a $200 Tissot isn’t something I enjoy. I can’t tell them to “get lost” or something even harsher since it’s at work. I have regular watches as well which have real sapphire so that video did question my judgement as well. It was a combination of everything that made me return it. I don’t want people judging me, thinking I wasted money. Actions have consequences and I’d like the people I meet to have a good first impression. No one seems to question my sanity when I wear an Omega Speedmaster to work which is interesting.
You have some terrible fickle people at work that care way too much about the materials of your watch and how you see fit to spend your paycheck. I honestly and truly suggest you contact HR. If that’s not an option (because the company is small or whatever reason), I suggest speaking to someone above you (or then) st the very least. If that’s also not abolition, find a less hostile workplace for the sake of your own sanity. If you’re being pressured into spending money in ways you wouldn’t normally do there’s no telling what else you may be pressured into doing today, tomorrow, or ten years from now.

I realize this is the internet and these words will probably fall on deaf ears but I truly hope you find peace and happiness at work. It is where we spend the most of our waking hours and you shouldn’t have to go trough what you seem to be going through.

One of the top regrets of the dying: “I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”

and

“Do what you want to do, say what you want to say, because those who matter don’t mind, and those who mind don’t matter.”

;)

Question. Any fitness workout people in this thread? How is the durability of the ceramic with weight lifting, fitness training, boxing, etc. I've had stainless in the past and LOVE the gray ceramic as that color is very much my style (Heather gray colors galore and dark tones), does the ceramic hold up well comparatively vs the SS? It's for this reason that I've decided Aluminum is not for me as I'd mark that up in no time. But this time I really want to go with the ceramic gray.

I will be testing my new grey ceramic tonight at the gym actually... Pysio, weights, a bit of kickboxing...

Let me know your impressions. I liked the SS, but with weights it definitely gets scratched, requiring constant buffing. If ceramic is durable with the lighter weight, we may have a winner at least in my case.
