Let me know your impressions. I liked the SS, but with weights it definitely gets scratched, requiring constant buffing. If ceramic is durable with the lighter weight, we may have a winner at least in my case.

I have the Series 2 white ceramic and it's definitely more durable and lighter then SS. I plan get a 3 at some point but still can't decide if I want to go with another white or try grey this time around (l'm leaning grey).

Best Buy had delivery dates on all watches for 10/27 but those jumped 11/3 today putting them in line with Apple store dates.

The grey i ordered at the same time as the white on 9/26 was just shipped. Original estimate was 3-4 weeks for the white and 5-6 for the grey. The white was delivered on 10/2 and the grey is scheduled to be delivered 10/13. So, don't let the estimate on Apple website throw you off. You will get it much sooner.

I do like the ceramic Edition, ultimately, the stainless sells me on the weight and the shine. One of the reasons I stepped away from the aluminum model was because it weighs 40% less than the stainless model. And I believe the difference in weight between the ceramic and stainless, is approximately 6 grams.

You have some terrible fickle people at work that care way too much about the materials of your watch and how you see fit to spend your paycheck. I honestly and truly suggest you contact HR. If that’s not an option (because the company is small or whatever reason), I suggest speaking to someone above you (or then) st the very least. If that’s also not abolition, find a less hostile workplace for the sake of your own sanity. If you’re being pressured into spending money in ways you wouldn’t normally do there’s no telling what else you may be pressured into doing today, tomorrow, or ten years from now.

I realize this is the internet and these words will probably fall on deaf ears but I truly hope you find peace and happiness at work. It is where we spend the most of our waking hours and you shouldn’t have to go trough what you seem to be going through.

Run to HR and file a complaint because of some office banter on Watch styles and selection? Ok, buttercup!

Having dealt with HR for quite a while now, you’d be surprised what they deal with. The average day to day complaints at a large corporation are absolutely mild compared to this. Most often people simply don’t like someone at work, claim harassment, and then are completely unable to come up with an example scenario.

If a person is pressured to change their day to day based on nothing more than a watch they chose to buy, yeah. That’s actually what Hr is for, whether you believe I am a buttercup or not.

A well established HR team will take complaints and deal with them based on severity. A single complaint like this one isn’t likely to make a damn bit of difference to the offender’s situation at the company. But if there are repeated incidences, especially from other people, now you have a few red flags.

People who feel like they have someone to talk to are generally much better workers because they’re actually happy at their jobs. Conversely, if you have an individual who is constantly harassing people and they are never reported on because it’s just “office banter”, that single person brings down productivity.

The gray ceramic with charcoal leather loop looks great with a suit. Really looks sharp I think. I landed a dark olive nylon sport loop last weekend so I’m done with bands. The olive looks great with the gray ceramic as well.

Picked up the saddle brown Hermes band.
I tried both the saddle brown Apple band and the Hermes and even though the Hermes is twice the price the white stitching really sets off the white ceramic. The Apple employee assured me that the Hermes band will last longer than the Apple Watch.
I just hope they continue the consistency of band fitments for the next few successive series.
This is definently my daily band though it matched saddle brown dress shoes perfectly

I would agree with that Apple employee. Hermes bands are extremely well-made and are very premium of some of the highest leathers. That leather band it if taken care of, could Easily outlast an Apple Watch in terms of battery life or Watchos support.

I agree, I've worn my Hermès deployment buckle daily for around a year and it's pristine. The only way you can tell it's been used it the patina it now has, they darken quite a bit

The deployment buckle is awesome
I would have loved to have had one with my Edition but alas Apple doesn’t sell them separately.
After I purchased the Hermes band I looked on the web and on eBay for a deployment buckle alone, and did find one on ebay but after looking at the construction of the deployment buckle I don’t think you could just mock one up even if you got your hands on the actual oem buckle. Given that the shorter end of the strap on the buckle version is different than that of the non buckle version.
[doublepost=1507874036][/doublepost]Does anyone know what size the Hermes bands lugs are? Im thinking of putting black lugs on. Or at least seeing how they look

Aren't they just the normal Apple lugs?

I just purchased some leather bands from Clockwork Synergy. They allow you to customize the adapter and buckle color. I find that the "Space Gray" adapter matches the ceramic gray Apple Watch well enough to be worth the purchase for anyone.

I saw the band at Apple and loved it.
It would have matched my orange polo but since April I lost 46 pounds and the polo swims on me.

Later that day I was walking through Kohl’s and saw the shirt. Went back and picked up the band

So I picked up the Ceramic Gray this morning. What a watch. Having used a SS in the past, you notice the 6 gram difference in this watch. The shine of the gray is amazing and I love the muted tone of the watch as regular SS and even SBSS always struck me as flashy in some way. This kind of hits that sweet spot for me. Also, it lends itself to darker colored sport bands, which I prefer. Additionally, the color of this watch varies unlike any I've ever seen in the watches based on the light in the room vs outside light. I'm impressed.

Totally agree, the lighting conditions completely change the look of this watch. It can go from light grey, to dark grey, to nearly black and then steel looking/titanium...

I had the White Ceramic S2 and purchased the Ceramic grey watch. I liked it initially but I think it was because it was new. As the weekend went on I thought it was pretty disappointing. Went with the Hermes and couldn’t be happier.

Adding some pics to the thread. I also have an S2 SB SS so I had some bands to try on. Link bracelet and sports bands are Apple brand, there is also a thick panerai style band w/ a deployment clasp that I hand assembled and lastly a thinner leather band from Pad and Quill.
