try to find some black buckles for your leathers :)

Show me something that'll work with any color suit and I might change my ways. Haha. Lot's of people wear Gold/Silver watches if they are dressing up in a suit. However, those colors do not go well with Ceramic Gray. That just leaves you with dark leathers or dark metals realistically. Obviously my use case for my watch (therefore my band collection) is in the minority as few people have to dress up for work.

What I ws trying to say is that if the adapters are black, the buckle should be black too ;)

or surprise your colleagues and add a PRODUCT RED band. Looks a bit of kinky but I love it

Ah I see what you mean now. Clockwork Synergy gives you the option to do black adapters. However, I felt that most people have a stainless steel buckles with black leather. Stainless steel lugs would have clashed badly which is why I chose 3rd Party over the Apple leather bands.

I will get a grey ceramic in a few days and will post pictures with various Sport Bands ((PRODUCT) RED 1 and 2), midnight blue, Nike Sport Bands (anthracite, obsidian), Leather Loop (charcoal grey and midnight blue) and a black sport loop. Even an Apple Pride with red adapters will look outstanding:). (well if it is your taste)

I know some people like Kevin O’Leary on Shark Tank likes red leather bands but he wears it with a gold watch. Not sure how red would look with ceramic gray. Stainless steel is the most versatile watch to pair with any band. The issue is it scratches easily. Look forward to your post.

Having had an SS and white ceramic I have found the ceramic easier to match bands. The issue I have isn’t with the band but with the lugs. SS lugs look horrible with the white ceramic.

You and your product red 1 and 2. Thanks buddy now I am compelled to spend another $52.50. :D

I was never a fan of the product red, always thought it wasn’t red enough.

That is why I tried to match the lugs as closely as possible from Clockwork Synergy. It looks good enough.

Fully agree on silver lugs not matching white (and grey) ceramic.

On (PRODUCT) RED, my youngest once had a (PRODUCT) RED case for a iPhone 5s and in 2 months it was (PRODUCT) black

On Watches: I currently own a SS Hermès and SB SS but still prefer the former. I ordered the ceramic grey because honestly speaking I do not have the guts to wear a white watch.... the grey fits more my age (58) ;)

I am almost 52. If someone told me you’ll wear a white watch in your 50’s I would have laughed.
As far as being a watch wearer, I owned several swatches in the 80’s, a thin seiko (80’s) and a Mickey Mouse (80’s).
Love the SS. But it just didn’t suit me in the summer while wearing a colored T-shirt or polo.
The white on the other hand got those likings and with a matching band (to the short/tie) has fit nicely in a formal ado.

I can’t tell you how many times I have been in an Apple store and the specialist never realized it was a ceramic.
More times than not a customer will ask where are the white ones like his.

The white seems to cleverly blend in and the band receives the attention.

Hey guys, what are the shipping estimates like for the ceramics? Generous?

On Friday it showed as delivery for 23rd.

Now been pushed back to 2nd - 7th Nov.

Have people been getting theirs much sooner, or in their shipping window?

Don’t say you’re tempted?

Haha! Kind of...

I really do like the SB colour, but the ceramic has a few advantages:

-Durability- apple market this as being scratch proof. Bold claim. I am quite obsessive (I am what I am, I guess) and keep worrying about knocking the Watch whilst sleeping, walking, dropping it, etc. It's been known to happen!

-Slightly lighter.

-Love that dual-tone ceramic (buckle) grey exclusive strap.

-Apple charging dock is a nice bonus (was planning to get one anyway).

My return window for the SB is this Friday. Reckon I can source a ceramic SG before then?

You may be lucky, the stores in London get one or two in sporadically. I’d recommend using https://www.istocknow.com and set up a notification for the watch, you’ll get an email when any stock appears either in store or online. Then just click the link in the email to buy/reserve in store. I’ve got a notification set up and that’s how I got mine, still getting notifications at least once a week about stock...

Cheers, mate. Will do.

Quick question. Do you find fingerprints less of an issue with the ceramic ove SS SB.

The only watch you won't have fingerprint issues will be the aluminum. As for scratches the primary reason I got the Ceramic Gray was it is most resistant towards scratches on both the screen and body. Not sure how much better SS SB vs the standard SS. I heard that the coating is harder so it won't scratch often. However, if you try to polish it to remove scratches you will end up ruining the SB. I use to have an original Apple Watch SS and I would periodically polish it. However, it became a hassle.

Cheers, guys. I really do like the SS SB, but it picks up fingerprints so very easily. Don't get me wrong, it is a great looking watch, and think it looks better than the ceramic space grey (based on pictures, anyway), as I love how the screen blends in with the bezel.

One question. Is it just me, or is the screen on the ceramic not flush with the bezel?

There is a lip on the ceramics as if they blended the edge into the screen like in the SS, the edge would be more brittle.

Ah, cool. Maybe it's not that visible on the SS as the colours are more similar.

I went ahead and set-up a notification alert with iStock now. Also put in an order online, but the delivery window is 2nd - 7th Nov. I have until Friday to think about it... Is it foolish to think my online order may come before then which will help make the decision easier? lol

The SS doesn’t have the lip at all as SS can be worked into a fine point to blend into the glass.

Apple seem to be delivering earlier than predicted, so you may be lucky...

Is this thread about fingerprints or ceramic watches

Just kidding, but comparing both my SS and SB SS, I prefer the Ss to clean. Just a glove of Brasso and she shines again and fingerprints are off with a simple wipe...

Next week I can tell how the grey ceramic behaves, but I understood both ceramics get a very special polish treatment.

P.S I receive my ceramic about 1 week earlier as scheduled :)
