Hey all!
I was wondering if you guys could help a girl out. Like a dumbass I didn’t get Apple care + within my 60 days, I swore we had 90 days to purchase. I know, I’m so dumb. My watch is still perfect but now I’m terrified to wear it and smash it... see post up above. I’m 77 days out from when I bought it. Does anyone know how I can still buy Apple care +? It would be such a great favor or if you have advice I would completely appreciate it! Thanks fellow ceramic lovers!

Just call up Apple and ask very, very nicely... they may make an exception after running a diagnostic test or asking you to pop into a store for a visual check.

C914E2EC-8933-4CF4-91A5-0EBAAE103F50.jpeg I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a ceramic gray one. After having a few of the sport watches I went ahead and went all in on the smart watch train. I am normally a gshock and mechanical watch type of guy. I would post a picture, but I truly don’t know how.

My next step is to find a quality band to wear with it. I have the series 2 gray and black nike band that I don’t even think they sell anymore that I will use for working out.

Edit- thanks! Pic added.

It’s really easy - start a post, click Upload a File, browse to where your photo is on your computer or tablet/phone and select it. The image will upload with a progress bar, then select Thumbnail or Full Image depending on how large your photo is, and that’s it. If you want to, click on More Options and Preview to see how the embedded photo will look. If you’re happy, click Reply to Thread.

Ok, it must have been broken when I tried it earlier. I thought that maybe size was too large. Thanks!

Thank you so much. I will give them a call and maybe pop into a store. You’re awesome!!

So ended up calling and being super nice to the rep, who wasn’t really pleasant to me. He told me not even Tim Cook could get Apple Care on my watch if he wanted. Now I’m super afraid to wear it. epic fail.

Welcome to the club! I have the Apple Charcoal Leather Loop and recently purchased the Black/Pure Platinum Nike Sports Loop. Both look fantastic with the grey!

Call again and speak to someone else, you may have just got an unhelpful rep. I have read stories of some people getting AppleCare after the date, so it can happen. Sprinkle on lots of Cali charm!

My Cali charm is apparently broken. I’m devastated. I guess I will no longer take my watch spelunking or smash it with a hammer for fun. I feel like Joey from Friends when he realizes he doesn’t have health insurance anymore.

Oh no, sorry to hear that! I've definitely heard Apple making exceptions before if they run a diagnostic to ensure the watch is ok.

Apple care beyond the 60 days is a tough one.
You need to find a store manager that is willing to work with AC for the exception.

A good sob story, and a lot of blah blah blah, and groveling might do the trick. It's a big might though.

You'll be fine. It's statistically unlikely you'll crack your watch before it is time to upgrade it... Wear it and be happy, however long it lasts. :p

Btw, at least in my country, home insurance often covers accidental breakage of stuff, even if you're at fault. You get a larger deductible than with applecare (and they "helpfully" write down the value of your stuff over time), but still, with a ceramic watch it still means a sizeable payout should something bad happen.

Maybe something like that is available in the U.S. as well?

Not a bad looking watch and band combo. Doubt I could pay over a grand for notifications on my wrist though. Espeically with two models beneath that at the same price.

Your paying for the material used, Ceramic is very strong and unless I’m mistaken it won’t scratch very easily especially if that Apple Watch is 100% Ceramic.
