I was up at 255 am here and by 302 am was able to order my two iPhone Xs Max 256 G and then 44 mm series 4 watch silver aluminum all with September 21 delivery. The store app was able to load sooner than via the website.

Bought a 44 ss milanese from Best Buy,any way to tell est shipping dates from them?

Your order details should indicate......below is a picture of my order status info regarding delivery.

What if you have both?

What do you mean? If you have the watch on your wrist and leave your phone behind, Find My Friends shows your watch’s location. If you have both the phone and watch on your person, the watch’s cellular connection is off so Find My Friends uses your phone’s location.

I sold my watch on eBay last week for $325 (s3 with sport loop 42mm SG) it has Apple care but didn’t include it in auction. Called Apple and they refunded $25 which was the balance of Apple care left. They won’t let you transfer I believe

Actually they will let you transfer the Apple Care. Last year I bought an aluminum watch and 1-2 months later I decided I wanted the stainless steel. After the stainless arrived I called Apple and asked them if I could transfer the Apple Care to the new watch and they did.

Looking in the U.K. Apple Store App, it’s showing that all Series 4 watches have an earliest delivery of 16th October.

What are the chances of getting a Series 4 actually in store if I was to go to my local branch - are they likely to have stock?

What’s up with this message?

I'm not so sure about that. The watch was the biggest deal announced the other day. Without that all you've got is a faster iPhone, which every one who cares upgraded last year, or a watered down iPhone which isn't shipping until later. I'm doing two separate orders tonight; one for the watch and another for two iPhone Xs's. Is that the correct plural form for that? iPhone Xses?
It turns out you were right about the Watch selling out more quickly, at least as far as the preorders.

Looking now, ordering one is at a 4 week delivery. I'll pass for now and wait. I'm in no rush to spend $600. :)

One question though. I've never had a watch yet. But if you have a phone and a watch, leave the phone at home and go for a jog/run, so where does "Find my Friends" show you're at?
It’s the same as it’s always been with iPhone and an iPad, or phone, iPad, and laptop. You specify which device you want to use to share your location. The watch is no different. You can select that one to be the one that shares your location, just like you could select your laptop or iPad instead of your phone.

You can’t choose the watch separately. You can choose the phone that the watch is associated with. And it will default to the phone location unless your watch is away from the phone and the cellular connection becomes active, at which point it will use the watch’s location.

What’s up with this message?

I'm in the same shipping window and have the same message (44mm Gold SS + Milanese Loop). I believe this message appears due to the fact that the watch will not be shipping by next week (hence the Sep 28 - Oct 2 window) so Apple let's you know not to expect a "shipped" notification any time soon.
I'm still hoping we'll get bumped up to Sep 21 shipping... I'm actually a tad more excited about getting the watch than my new XS Max, which IS coming on Sep 21.

From past experience there maybe some walk-in stock but will be pot luck on the store ..... worth trying John Lewis when they open their online orders or as a walk-in .... in the past I’ve had more success on launch day with them.

Will Typhoon Mangkhut delay shipments out of China? Will UPS/FedEx planes be able to land/depart?

7FdUJpJ_d.jpg

So a life threatening storm is hitting the Philippines, people are losing their homes, potential loss of life and you are worried it might delay your watch a few days ?
Why do you feel a need to put words in someone's mouth? How do you know I'm not half Filipino? How do you know that I have not survived multiple hurricanes while growing up? The typhoon—while potentially tragic—still doesn't change the fact that it could also impact commerce in that region.

It seems like the stainless steel Space Black watch started at September 28 shipping right? I'm noticing that anyone that says they ordered one has those dates or later.

I think the same. I haven’t seen one person with a 9/21 delivery date.

Thought I would share my Apple Watch Series 4 pre order experience.

Currently in Miami, FL for work, however live in Orange County California. I have had previous Apple products (iPhone X, etc) shipped to me here in Miami so there's no issue with that.

For me the Apple Store app wasn't up until just after 3:03 AM EST (First accessed via ATT iPhone X)
The website was up later at around 3:09 AM EST (Website was accessed through both Safari and Chrome via late model 2016 12" MacBook)

Had 2 different iPhone X's (ATT & Verizon) constantly refreshing the app. (Opening app, force close app, repeat)
Both iPhones not connected to wifi. (ATT signal 2 bars, Verizon signal full strength)
ATT iPhone X accessed the Apple Store app first just after 3:03 AM EST followed by Verizon iPhone X around 3:04 AM EST.

Order placed on the Apple Store app via ATT iPhone X for:
44mm SS White Sport Band with AppleCare+

Order placed seconds before 3:05 AM EST and got an estimated delivery date past the launch date. :(
I was quoted Sep 28 - Oct 2 delivery at the final page for checkout and again on my email confirmation. :(

Immediately after placing the order on my ATT iPhone X, I checked my Verizon iPhone X and the shipping date was already pushed back to Oct 2 - Oct 5.

I should add that when I gained initial access to the product page, then added to my cart and then proceeded throughout the checkout process it showed a Sep 21 delivery date. It wasn't until the final screen/page before confirming the order did it show the dreaded Sep 28 - Oct 2 date.

I have yet to receive anything (iPhones...6,6s+,8,X, MacBooks...too many to list, iPads, or Apple Watches...1,2) prior or on a launch day when preordering at the time I gain access. (All shipping info and billing info already on file).
Time will tell if its the same for the Apple Watch Series 4...fingers crossed.

In the end the lottery on who gains access before others is becoming more and more frustrating each year...

Oh, RIGHT ON! We could both use the extra chargers. Bonus!

That’s what I said this morning! LOL.

Finally I can have a charger at work and/or to take when I travel. I STAY forgetting to pack a watch charger! ‍♀️

It’s like I’m psychic. :D

My iPhones had their status changed to being prepared for shipping. Still no movement on my watch, no charge on my card for that. Starting to lose hope that my watch will get bumped up.

BTW, anyone not doing the store pickup thing should consider creating a FedEx account. As soon as my order ships I login to FedEx and change the delivery point to a FedEx store. That way I’m not trapped in the house all day waiting for delivery. There’s one just half a mile from my house, so I just pick it up on my way home from work.
