I ordered my phone first (3:02) and by time I got around the watch (3:04 as you) I had the same result for SB SS with Sports Band. Switched to SB SS Milanese and got next Friday delivery.
Me. Ordered via Verizon on the phone at noon yesterday with a 9/21 date for that and a Gold SS with SB

It seems like the stainless steel Space Black watch started at September 28 shipping right? I'm noticing that anyone that says they ordered one has those dates or later.
Hi. Completed an order for the iPhone S Max at 3:05. Wanted to get that done because in the past the phones went very quickly. Then ordered a Series 4, 44 mm in space black completed at 3:11 and got the September 28 - October 2 date. Hopefully it will be moved up. It has happened. Fingers crossed.

Anyone seeing Apple times bumped up? The watches have been wonky since the series 0 for delivery dates

I am wondering the same thing and waiting to see if anyone replies.
I also ordered one via Best Buy with no estimated shipping date, and I am wondering if their shipping dates hold solid.

My aluminum watch that I ordered by accident is preparing to ship and will arrive Friday. When I went back to order the stainless steel one that I wanted, in-store pick up for next Friday was the only launch-day availability. Since it’s an in-store pick up, I don’t anticipate seeing any change in status until Friday morning when it says ready for pick up.

Any 44m SS gold version getting launch day delivery? Haven't seen any of those... If so, did your watch move to PFS as well?
I'm in the Sep 28 - Oct 2 window...

But you got the Milanese loop. I’ve not seen anyone who bought with the sport band with date of the 21st.

I have a 9/21 date for both my 44mm Gold and SB SS watches with sport bands

Interesting. Where in the fine print did you see it? I couldn't come up with it on Apple's website.

Sorry I can’t find where I saw it. I may of been on my order summary page after I ordered my new watch.

Does anyone know how bad it is if you wait past 14 days to send in an item via Giveback Trade in? I’d like to keep my old watch as long as possible until I get the new one but I don’t want to miss out on the quote given.

Never used their buyback program but I will say I understand wanting to wait. I sold my SB SS S3 on Thursday at Gamestop and my wrist has never felt more naked these past two days lol

It’s like I’m psychic. :D

My iPhones had their status changed to being prepared for shipping. Still no movement on my watch, no charge on my card for that. Starting to lose hope that my watch will get bumped up.

BTW, anyone not doing the store pickup thing should consider creating a FedEx account. As soon as my order ships I login to FedEx and change the delivery point to a FedEx store. That way I’m not trapped in the house all day waiting for delivery. There’s one just half a mile from my house, so I just pick it up on my way home from work.
Michigan Ave didn’t have store pickup available for whatever reason. I’m guessing they will have a big stock in store.

Seeing that the Xs Max and Watch sold out more quickly, I’m guessing we are seeing 7/8 Plus users upgrading (who may not have seen the X screen as an upgrade), and that many owners of earlier generations of Watch are upgrading for the first time. I thought last year was a big upgrade for the Watch (LTE) but maybe the bigger screen is more significant.

Thought I would share my Apple Watch Series 4 pre order experience.

Currently in Miami, FL for work, however live in Orange County California. I have had previous Apple products (iPhone X, etc) shipped to me here in Miami so there's no issue with that.

For me the Apple Store app wasn't up until just after 3:03 AM EST (First accessed via ATT iPhone X)
The website was up later at around 3:09 AM EST (Website was accessed through both Safari and Chrome via late model 2016 12" MacBook)

Had 2 different iPhone X's (ATT & Verizon) constantly refreshing the app. (Opening app, force close app, repeat)
Both iPhones not connected to wifi. (ATT signal 2 bars, Verizon signal full strength)
ATT iPhone X accessed the Apple Store app first just after 3:03 AM EST followed by Verizon iPhone X around 3:04 AM EST.

Order placed on the Apple Store app via ATT iPhone X for:
44mm SS White Sport Band with AppleCare+

Order placed seconds before 3:05 AM EST and got an estimated delivery date past the launch date. :(
I was quoted Sep 28 - Oct 2 delivery at the final page for checkout and again on my email confirmation. :(

Immediately after placing the order on my ATT iPhone X, I checked my Verizon iPhone X and the shipping date was already pushed back to Oct 2 - Oct 5.

I should add that when I gained initial access to the product page, then added to my cart and then proceeded throughout the checkout process it showed a Sep 21 delivery date. It wasn't until the final screen/page before confirming the order did it show the dreaded Sep 28 - Oct 2 date.

I have yet to receive anything (iPhones...6,6s+,8,X, MacBooks...too many to list, iPads, or Apple Watches...1,2) prior or on a launch day when preordering at the time I gain access. (All shipping info and billing info already on file).
Time will tell if its the same for the Apple Watch Series 4...fingers crossed.

In the end the lottery on who gains access before others is becoming more and more frustrating each year...
Similar what happened to me. I set my alarm to wake me up at 2:55 EST, woke up and asked myself, why am I getting up at this time lol. Woke up at 3:04, remembered why, then went to Apple Store app to place order. Wasn't working. Went to website. It wasn't up for me until about 3:10AM EST. I went through AT&T and they had a queue, which I was on for a few minutes. Then as I was waiting I was refreshing Apple Store app. Eventually got in and got a 9/27-10/02 shipping date with 44mm SBSS. Went through AT&T AFTER and got the same model for delivery on 9/21. So weird. Phone was not connected to WiFi and had four bars full strength. All done on iPhone X on AT&T.

Can't wait for my Watch :)

I ordered a 44mm stainless steel white sports band from the att and my shipping estimate is February 1, 2019...
