Keep the letter. Only subtract last two numbers. If it’s not showing up, it’s not in the system yet.
Preordered from Apple on Friday as soon as they went live. Order status now says "Preparing to Ship." I got the 44mm LTE Aluminum Space Gray w/ Black Sport Loop. It will be replacing my S1.

Has anyone with an original 09/28-10/02 had their order move forward yet? My SS Gold is stuck in this date range but I was hoping to get bumped... Confirmstion email at 12:05am Pacific.
I added the M and got the tracking finally. Processed - waiting for UPS to pick up. What is the time difference? 9/17 8:36am was the time stamp. The charge has not reappeared on my card yet though.

Where exactly in ups do i search by order number? Mine is still in processing order but due to arrive 9/21
This is what I did:
1. Go to UPS.com
2. Click on Tracking Header Link
3. Select Track and Tracking History (from drop down)
4. Locate the Track Packages & Freight Tab
5. (Do not Track by Number) Select “Track By Reference”
6. Input your order number - kind of - remove the letter in front and the last two digits. EX: “W123456789” -> “1234567”
7. A full blown tracking number will appear in the results field (center & right of page) along with a status of the tracking number if it found your reference number
8. Click on the tracking number

I tried to have it held at a location, but it seems like that changes the delivery to 9/24, so I'll just opt for the delivery on 9/21. Good thing I essentially have a day off work on Friday so I can just stay home.

Yeah, that’s one thing that sucks about UPS. FedEx can deal with you changing it to a nearby store no problem.
But, if you change it to be held at your UPS Customer Center, that won’t cause a delay. But you have to be SURE that’s the center that serves your address.
Yes. So the important thing is you ask for it to be held at a UPS Customer Center (sometimes shows as a UPS CC). The Customer Center is the small hub in your area where your device will make it's final stop before being loaded onto a delivery truck. By having it held at a CC, they will just simply not put it on a truck and keep it there for you to pick up which will not delay the delivery. If you request that it be held at any ole UPS store, they will put it on the delivery truck at the Customer Center and deliver it to that store rather than your house. This can delay when it's available to you.
If you Google UPS Customer Center it'll show you the one closest to your location. Then when you go into your tracking number, request for it to be held at that Customer Center. I've been doing this for a few years with no problems. Here's what mine looks like. Notice delivery date and it saying "Hold for Pickup"?
Here - ordered at 5 min past go-live since the site was down and landed a 10/5-10/12 date for a 44mm/SS/SB.

The other two are 44mm SS/SB. Whoever blinks first, wins.

Yeah. All launch day Apple deliveries have required a signature, at least for me.
But if you have a UPS my choice account, you can easily pre-authorize the shipment and they should just leave it at the door.
