I ordered the Space Gray Aluminum 44, LTE. Confirmation email came at :04.
I had two watches on the order by mistake!
So I ordered a single watch on a second order. Email came at :09.
Both orders show Sept 21. I’m amazed it hadn’t slipped to October by the time I did my 2nd order.

Overslept and delivery has slipped to October.

Ordered for pickup on 9/21 at local Apple store with pickup window at opening.

Does that mean they’ll have my order then or just that I’ll show up then and they have what they have. Then be stuck at whatever the delivery date is at that point?

No, if you select pick up, they’ll have that model that you ordered ready for you.

I got a white sport band Stainless Steel (Sept 28-Oct 2). 12:06 PST confirmation email, northern Illinois location. Sept 21 delivery people: what time was your confirmation email sent?

I preordered my first Apple Watch! I went with the silver 44mm with sport loop. Getting it next Friday! I really hope that it’s not too big. I tried on my co-worker’s 42mm today and it felt fine and thought I could use the bigger one. Guess I can always exchange if needed!

If you fit the 42 you’ll fit this one. From what I read, the screen is bigger but since it’s thinner, it makes up for it. Since they are able to fit the old bands into these, that bodes well for someone like me who has smaller wrists.

...only the 42mm bands will fit the 44mm watch. If you have the 38mm watch, these straps will only fit the 40mm watch.

So, if like me, you have a 42mm watch and want to go for the 40mm watch (which actually has a slightly larger screen), the 42mm straps won't fit.

Hmm the GPS space grey aluminum is 4 weeks out now but Best Buy has it release day. Does anyone know if they have them for sale in store the day it is released?

Thank you for the reassurance! I’m actually surprised that I got launch day delivery because I spent forever in the App Store going back and forth between sizes. I’m worried that people are saying that the 44 might be too big but hopefully not. I don’t have small wrists so I wanted to be sure that the band was big enough.

I ordered right when the app came up, which was about 5 mins late, and got October 5th for my SS white. I’m pretty annoyed about that.

I was trying to order through Verizon after getting the Xs Max order in, but they are having a technical issue with showing the SS versions of the Series 4. Even calling in doesn’t work. When I went to try Apple, the date for the gold Milanese had slipped into October and no pickup available at any store in the area. Grrrr. I’ll try my carrier later in the morning, but otherwise, l’ll have a little bit of a wait.

Dang it Siri, I said 3 not 5! Missed release day shipping and showing Oct 12-19.......Stainless Steel Case with Milanese Loop

Oct. 12-19 ETA for my aluminum 44mm Space Gray GPS+Cellular, pre-ordered at 4:35am EST.

I'm guessing that delivery will occur much quicker than that, perhaps even launch day September 21st. We've seen that happen all the time with iPhones before, haven't we?

The Milanese loop is a lovely strap - got it as a present a couple of years ago and it’s easily my favourite!

That gold Milanese loop looks beautiful!
Indeed it does look gorgeous and it’s a perfect fit with the Gold watch.

I'll be surprised if it suddenly ships/arrives on release day. I've seen orders move in but not generally the initial shipments ordered on the pre-order date.

0:35 order. Already was Oct 5-12 delivery. Or 9/21 in store. Hmm okay (chose latter).

No problem - saw this posted in an article. Eased my concerns.

Most notably, the new sizes are outstanding. I was a little worried that 40mm and 44mm would push the Apple Watch into too big territory, but the opposite is true. The watches are significantly thinner (I'm still working to find out by exactly how much) and you notice it the moment you strap one on. The reduced size of the bubble for the sensors is responsible for a lot of this, which makes the entire package sit lower to the wrist, so you don't get that space between the edges of the Watch and your wrist. The 44mm is on the large side, and it does look bigger than the 42mm on the wrist, but from a comfort standpoint I don't see anyone complaining.
