The iPhone X display's green line is not the issue, the issue is that there appears to be a malfunction with the device's hardware/software...
 
Apple is done making quality products.
It's over for them.
It's all about fast junk with limited options and making and sure you have to do everything through iTunes 'cause God forbid you get any sense of freedom like just plugging your phone into your computer and it reading it as a hard drive so you can just grab and slide your music or files over.
How many people are going to excuse the problems with the recent iPhones?
Probably even more than the people who kept coming up with excuses regarding the MacBook Pro.

You better watch how you respond to posts like these!!! You’ll be branded a traitor because a lot of posters think of Apple as the next Messiah and will never do any wrong.

Apple needs to put a public response ASAP and have customers return without affecting AppleCare+ Warranty as this is a defect.

This affects public opinion and stock price and sales.

Uhm Samsung supplies all the OLED displays of the X.

No Samsung supplies the display

Where is so many people on page 1 & 2 getting this is Samsung’s fault? Their not the only ones that produce AMOLED / OLED displays. I believe Lg was in the running for this X display. Does anyone have actual proof?

On the suppliers news article just before this article on front page Samsung isn’t mentioned as a display supplier.

Just to educate you slightly about Apples
refurbished phones, they receive a new display, battery and outer casing. The only thing that will be used on a refurbished unit is the logic board. Apples refurbished iPhones are very good and are almost like new. I had a refurbished iPhone in the past and I couldn't even tell that it was refurbished, it looked brand new.

Apple refurbished phones are crap. I paid $299 for an out-of-warranty swap on an iPhone 6. The touch screen stopped working the first week. I got a new 90-day warranty on its replacement, and that screen stopped working too. The 3rd one is still working, but I suspect at that point they just give you a new phone instead of a refurb.
 
You return it! Thats not the discussion though. The original topic was someone saying you’re supposed to just be ok with Apples mistakes and “suck it up”.

I don’t recall anyone saying “suck it up”. I do recall people saying that electronic devices occasionally have problems and might need a replacement, and that people have options for this.

Or do you expect that every single thing you purchase in life should be 100% perfect and never have issues? And if they do then you should be compensated because you’re a very important person and should not have to put up with any inconvenience?

It's ok, since you payed about 4 times the actual phone price, they can exchange it for a new one so you can be proud of Apple's service once again. Another Tim hit.
 
So let me get this straight Macrummors 25 people out of I am sure millions on millions have a green line issue and apple does not question the user and replaced them on the spot. The cold weather issue they admit they will fix. The splitting was few models.
 
The amount of salt on this forum is unreal. Of course every first generation product has issues here and there. Even ironed out products have issues. No one is “beta testing” this phone. The only people that are saying that on this forum are those that got conned into buying the iPhone 8/8Plus, OR who can not afford the X.

I have the X and it is phenomenal. If you use an iPhone X, like actually USE the phone not just look at pics, the notch DOES NOT MATTER. If you USE the X, lack of Touch ID is a good thing. Face ID actually is easier.

It’s an amazing phone. Sure, some will have flaws. Any electronic device can. But there is NO NEED for the salty comments here. We all enjoy Apple products. If you missed out on the X because you didn’t have the money (or unwilling to pay $1200 for a phone) and you’re butt-hurt, just keep it to yourself.

The people who experience these issues though, they have a right to be upset after spending so much. This is a huge inconvenience.

I have not had any issues with my X thus far. Great experience overall.

Wow, who do you think you are Eddie Murphy doing the the standup skit for Ice Cream? Maybe you should keep your assumptions of people making slaty comments due to not being able to afford a device to YOURSELF. Sounds pretty arrogant to point a finger before looking in the mirror.

Also, when people are unhappy or have a problem, where do they go? Online to complain instead of taking it in for exchange or repair.
