Just ordered the SGP Skin guard (Cube) for the back of the phone to go along with the EX. Looks real nice and will save me from having to clean the back screen protector I use with the EX.

They do look nice but seem to be cut just a bit too short to cover the back completely... mine leaves about 1/16" of glass showing at the bottom when the apple logo and camera cutouts are properly-aligned.

Yep, I knew that prior to ordering. I am hoping the inner silicone shell of the EX will hide that portion.

JN Gold: Hopefully it will. I had a SGP Carbon back and the Apple bumper would not cover it completely, so you could still see part of the glass. However, the EX does have a slightly wider silicon lip than the bumper. Just to be safe, since being able to see the glass was driving me nuts, I went ahead and ordered a Carbon back from Lucky Labs, which seems to be about a millimeter longer and wider (it is also cheaper than SGP) and my EX covers it completely.

By the way, I just got my Satin Silver EX a couple of days ago. I have to say that I’m completely satisfied with this case. And I tried several before, including the Apple Bumper, Case Mate Barely There, Caze Zero 5, and Gear4 Polarized. Here are my impressions:

Silicon Rubber and outer frame: The silicon rubber does not feel cheap as others have mentioned, in my opinion. Plus. it offered a perfect fit. Tighten than I expected and tight enough not to let debris go under it, but that’s perhaps because I have an SGP invisible wrap around my antenna (which by the way, seems a higher quality product that the Lucky Tabs wrap, which I have already used too). The outer frame seems a bit flimsy when held alone, but when combined with the silicon rubber feels very solid. No problems at all with the painting and the quality of the seams – all consistent and well made.

Main Pros:
- Excellent fit. Slimmer than the bumper and makes the phone look amazing
- Perfect cutouts. Everything matches perfectly, eventhough this also causes a con (see below).
- Buttons retain the traditional click feeling.
- Overall, I think the quality of the two parts when combined and installed on the phone was very good. It actually exceeded my expectations.
- I actually think that this case can stand being dropped. Honestly, I don’t think it would break that easily.
- Will not bubble my Steinheil and the silicone lip will cover the screen protector’s edges perfectly.
- The silicon lips are a bit wider than the bumper and also a bit angled. So you, won’t feel like you have hit something when you are navigating on the screen with your fingers.

A few Cons:
- The case is a bit slippery at first (more so than the bumper), so just take your time to get used to it.
- Installation was a bit tricky, and I guess the secret is to slide the outer frame over the two bottom edges at the same time, as show on SGP’s video.
- This is definitely, definitely a case that you won’t want to be putting on and off. Once on, just leave it there.
- Cutouts are very unforgiving. My Skullcandy headphones, for instance, will not fit. I can see people who have third party cables having a though time. I don’t think most of them would work. Just don't force your cables in the case.
- The paint on the buttons is one of the down points. It looks a little low quality and also like it will eventually fade away.

Conclusion: This case is definitely a keeper and the best case I have tried thus far. I actually liked it so much that I went ahead and ordered additional frames yesterday (yellow and white, which seem to be available for immediate delivery on SGP’s website). In my opinion, you can buy with confidence and you will not regret getting this case.

On another note, when I removed my bumper to install the EX, I did notice a couple of scratches on my SGP invisible wrap, right on the top right corner (curved part). No damage to the antenna itself. This really, really surprised me, since in order to be safe I had installed an extra set of Lucky Lab’s wrap on the inside of the bumper. I honestly never thought this would even be possible, so just be aware and be careful if you have a bumper. I further inspected the inside of the bumper after removing it and all looks normal, so I have no idea of what could have happened. The bumper was never removed after it was installed about 10 days ago. I'm glad it is going back to Apple today...

I just received a Case Mate Hula and wrote an initial comparison to the EX if anyone is interested:

After a month with the EX it is still looking like new. However, the silver paint has completely rubbed off the sleep button as I expected. The inner rubber frame is also starting to loosen. The edges around the charger port are losing it's shape. I notice it distorts if I pull it out of my pocket and it catches on anything. Not a big deal since you can just push it back into place. The looseness also lets debris in since there is a small gap between the screen and the lip of the case. After a month quite a bit of dust collecting underneath the case. I still don't know why SGP didn't just make it tighter fitting without the outer frame.

I don't have the EX (I have the Hybrid Matte) but I'm having the same issue with the silicone on my case. I really think that SGP would have been better off going with a TPU instead of silicone since TPU tends to be tougher and retains its shape better. I'm just not sure if they could have kept the case as thin as it is if they went with TPU.

I'd like to find another case similar in size to the Hybrid Matte that has the same rounded edges. I put my Pixelskin HD back on for a day and couldn't stand how square it felt after using the Hybrid Matte for the last month or so. The Hybrid series feels great in the hand with those rounded edges so I'm hoping there is something else similar out there.

Got the satin silver EX today within 2 days of ordering. They ship from LA And I live in San Diego ;) I think my search for the perfect case has ended! This is the closest thing to the naked phone. Yes it is a little slippery but I don't think more slippery than it would be if it was naked. I've heard the silicon eventually sags but I see no real negatives to this case. Love that you can now buy just the frames. This by far is my favorite case. The incase snap in smoke in 2nd. Thanks SGP!

I do agree with what you said. :) Changing cases hasn't even crossed my mind, amazingly.

I have been doing a lot of research into potential cases and have found MR incredibly useful. OT this is without doubt my final choice of case. However, I have a couple of questions that hopefully somebody can answer:

1.) Does SGPstore ship to the UK? I noticed a few comments in previous pages regarding this and was wondering if they did/didn't.

2.)Would anyone happen to own both the EX and a Waterfield designs suede jacket (http://www.sfbags.com/products/iphone-cases/suedejacket-iphone.php) as i am also purchasing one of those and was wondering whether or not I would need to upgrade the jacket an extra size to fit this case.

3.) Additionally, i have noticed a fair amount of talk surrounding third party connectors/headphones etc. Would anyone know if the SOLO HD's (http://beatsbydre.com/products/Products.aspx?pid=B5800&cat=1) 3.5mm headphone connector work with this case, as it is fairly unique.

I'm aware how specific the questions are, but i would appreciate any comments/answers :)

yes they ship to the uk, it takes forever and you get hit with a customs charge
too late i discovered that there were some uk based ebay sellers, i could have got it in 2 days £19.99 and free postage :(

Anyone have actual pics of the NEO Hybrid Matte smooth black??? I just ordered one from amazon for $22 shipped

Just want to give my take on it. Simply its one of the best cases out there atm. The silicone is not a lint magnet like some says as its feels more like tpu in terms of being rigid etc. The outer frame is very slim but it does its job well but I found the 'smooth black' version a bit slippery in hand thats one of only a few negatives to this case. The other is that perhaps the installation process but
I didn't really have a problem so it wasn't a deal breaker. So I would recommend this case to anyone as its a solid choice in my eyes

Thanks I'll go check that out.

I just received my SGP Skin guard (Cube) to go with my EX. I am very happy with it. As expected, the Skins to do not completely cover the entire back of the iPhone 4. However, with the EX on, the amount of open space is very minimal (almost imperceptible). I am very happy with it and makes a great complement to the EX.

Thanks for your help. I have a problem though, im trying to order an SGP neo hybrid ex case from their website directly, im from the UK. I get as far as picking my shipping type but i cannot seem to find a way to move forward from here. What is wrong with this website? Nowhere can i find the continue button to actually pay/complete my order...

Any suggestions?
