My setup

Here's my setup:

hitekalex, that is one awesome setup!!!!

Looking at that makes me wanna wall mount my cinema display!

Very nice ;)

Are they on articulating arms, or flat mounted to the wall? I don't think I'd want the display that far away from me in use... seems like they are a bit too far a way except for maybe movies/games.

The screens are flat mounted to the wall.

When I work on my computer, I have my elbows on the desk edge.. so the viewing distance to the displays is about 25".. That's commonly recommended optimal distance. You really wouldn't want to sit any closer, especially with two large screens.

Wow, impressive. Nice job on hiding the wires.

Thanks. It wasn't easy hiding the wires. I have them all duct taped and wrapped around the supports of the desk. It's a mess if you look under the desk or behind the file cabinet with the wires for the LED lights, lamp, and ACD but from above it looks clean.

I've posted this pic on this forum before but it seems appropriate to place it into this thread as-well.

So beautiful. This picture inspired me to order two thunderbolt displays, beefed up Mac mini, keyboard and trackpad to replace my 17" MBP.

I always used laptops because they are very minimalist.

But this picture inspired me to think bigger.

I'll be posting my own picks within a week!

EDIT: I hate to hijack - but can someone with 2 Thunderbolt displays please answer this related question for me? thanks!

Any reason why you purchased a mac mini and tbd over an iMac? The base 27" iMac is more powerful than the base mac mini.

Not everyone wants to be stuck with a non-upgradeable all-in-one.. I like to upgrade / replace my Mini every 1-2 years, while I keep my displays for 7+ years.

Exactly. I'm a Mac mini + 3 monitors guy. Unless there's some radical new change in monitor technology, then I'll have these three monitors for the life span of a least a couple of Mac minis. And, when I upgrade to a new Mac mini, the old one can be a media server or do something else useful.

I think this is a great idea and I may adopt this line of thinking :D

I LIKE IT!!

Is it worth me putting a photo of my Thunderbolt Display setup on here?

I have it connected to a Mini and I'm not sure if there's much point as there's people with Mini and dual TBD set-ups xD

Sure it is just for fun. Every setup is unique.

Thunderbolt + Mac Mini = neat and awesome setup!

Just wondering though, how does the Thunderbolt display perform comparing to iMac 27 in terms of picture quality?
