Snow Leopard in the UK

hey, I just received my retail Snow Leopard, it was shoved through letter box, no signing, it was in a large brown envelope. so happy :D
 
Postie has been and no SL for me :(

Looking at Tuesday at the earliest now. Not going to let it ruin my bank holiday weekend.
 
Mine has just arrived as well, wasn't expecting it as my order still says it hasn't shipped :confused:

Arrived first class, brown jiffy.
 
Local reseller has sold out, so as I'm away for two weeks from Monday, I think I'll be downloading it from the newsgroups.

I take it nowhere has stock on the high street other than actual Apple Stores?

That's Apple Inc. for you. Best bit i've just received my Invoice via e-mail. Would be nice to have what i've already paid for.

I'm never bothering with pre-order or UTD again, a waste of time and money. I could have all systems up and running last night if I'd gone to local reseller.
 
The Postman just delivered my copy of Snow Leopard. I live in Aberdeenshire. A bit disappointed it wasn't delivered yesterday, but it's here now.

Still trying to decide if i should do a fresh install or just upgrade?

It looks like the package was delivered from Hickley LE10 3HZ - "If undelerable return to."
 
I just left my apartment to go and check the post box, and the post man was there, putting my copy of SL into the box. Great timing! As most other people have said. Brown jiffy, no signature required, posted second class from Hinckley. Now for the install! :D
 
OK, so my UTD just arrived.

Really annoyed, if Apple had not been so tight, and paid for 1st Class, most of us would have had it for launch day.

2nd bloody class, what a joke
 
I'm a UK UTD-er (sent form via post instead of online if anyone's interested). Their status checker has said my order is 'shipping imminently' for the last 72 hours but I've just received the upgrade disk and can confirm it is just an upgrade DVD, no box, no extra packaging and with a 'Not for Resale' sticker. Just that, a little 'how to install' booklet and a barcode sticker stuck to the brown jiffy bag. Product code is MC204ZM/A.

Mine was sent 1st class (yeah it surprised me too) from PO Box 33, Ross-on-Wye.

Hope anyone still waiting gets theirs soon.

I'm surprised that some people's were shipped 2nd class (like mine) and some were 1st class, only for everyone to recieve it today anyway...
Would it have been so hard for it to have shipped a day earlier so we can get it on the day of release?

Guys can anyone confirm the UTD disc will NOT install on a blank hard drive?

Better still, can someone run an MD5 checksum on the disc please.
 
Getting a bit annoyed bow, invoice (which is usually sent after receiving) sent to me this morning but still no snow leopard
