All this negative energy for something which doesn't change much really. If the reseller I went to didn't have it, I would have simply waited till they did.

If I were any of you, I would just be patient and wait till tuesday now, trust me when you guys actually get to use the software you'll be wondering why you bothered complaining in the first place.

Its nice to have but thats all. Life goes on.

Apple says it COULD be delivered tomorrow.

Mine arrived

My UK UTD order has arrived today, unfortunately I was out and have to go to the PO to collect. I didn't pay any extra shipping charge.
I'm in Bournemouth, FWIW.

lol my day just got brighter,

Just met Clarke Peters from the Wire!

I promise to start watching the show now Mr Peters, its def on my watch list now!

very cool guy

Looks like the postal strike has scuppered my chances of it being delivered this week.

Your in maccelesfield aswell and havent gotten it aswell. Exactly the same story here, i only pre-ordered because i didnt want a trip to trafford center and wanted to get it on the first day

This is my situation. I expected it to be a similar situation to Game.co.uk etc F
Pre-order to guarantee it on release. Are Apple ****ing idiots or have they more faith in the postal system that 99% of the population? I could have gone to the TC tonight and bought it, but I thought I'd get it on day one with the pre-order.

Apple are losing my respect, useless Geniuses, ****** iPhone quality control(approx 1 in 5 being half decent build quality) and now this. Maybe they are getting too mainstream and complacent?

Half tempted to get a yar version whilst I'm waiting for my PAID for copy. Pre-ordering bollocks, thank god video games websites appreciate the importance of day one.

Perfectly said!

Also, all of us that paid for up-to-date orders paid £7.95 for supposed 'postage and packing' so why do we get a 37p stamp, and not a freakin courier? Apple are seriously bastards when it comes to other countries, especially as we paid what? $15 more than the US for the retail copy? This is all ********.

And I can't just go to the shop and pick one up, as the nearest holder is the AppleStore in Trafford centre which is an hour away, which sucks....

Firstly calm down, it's just an OS

Secondly, when you pre-ordered you would have seen it said:

"We estimate that your order will be dispatched by post on or before By August 28th."

Dispatched - not delivered. Apple never promised you'd get it on launch day

Know what you mean, but we still get it in a half-arsed way compared to the US.

Yes, you are right, but I ordered on thr first day it went live on the Apple store, so no matter what, Apple are piss poor at pre-orders.

Secondly, I'll vent anyway I like, this is a public 'forum' so please don't tell me how to react to something I have an opinion on. Thanks.

Learn to chill and have patience.

I know $29 doesn't =£25 but I seriously wasn't bothered, its worth the price. You're quibbling over the £7.95 delivery cost anyway, when you could have just waited and bought it the next time you're in the Manchester area.

For £7.95 you could have caught the bus or got a train into town and had a day out while purchasing the OS.

Remember it is just an operating system after all.

I don't care really if it comes today or next week. I only ordered it online to get the double Nectar points from the AppleStore!

if they can do it in the USA why could not Apple have gave us the same service.?

as someone posted before in the UK its a waste of time pre ordering from apple

First : Weather is terrible up north atm Lol, so I ain't walking around town for 4 hours ;) And Trafford centre is horribly expensive.
2 : I'm not a big-shopper. Hate shopping for clothes, all I can do is shop for technology, and as I just spent £1500 on my MBP, and £1000 on my holiday, I'm not spending any more money until.. well... Tuesday. xD
3 : The train is £12.95 GET IT RIGHT xD
4 : Knowing my luck, I'd spend all the time going down there and shopping n what not, and it would turn out there's either A: A ginormous queue in the AppleStore, or they're completely out of copies. Then again, I don't think many people are Mac fans up here, especially in manchester as you'd probably get stabbed if you are seen with one.

I'm all upgraded!

I just went to my local Apple Store at Meadowhall and bought a copy. It wasn't mad busy but their card processing facilities were down so I couldn't pay by card. I presume their card processing systems run on Windows. ;)

Popped it in my Macbook Pro, upgraded and restored from a Time Machine backup. Boom!

It's awesome.

Apart from the supposed "performance increase" there really isn't anything to play about with on your new Snow Leopard installation. It's almost the same as Leopard 10.5. I ordered mine for the convenience - saves me from going to the store.

So just to confirm; there aren't any fairies, bunnies or magical pixies in the SL installation, though I hear there is a rumour that there might be a Leprechaun in the SL installation... Not sure yet.

My god....

Another person that will not have a word said against apple.

An important point has been made regarding UTD. We paid nearly 8 quid for 'p&p' It should not have been sent in the regular mail for this price.
