Snow Leopard Shipping? [merged]

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. On the Apple web site, my order shows "Not yet shipped". However, when using the Delivery Status widget, it shows Prepared for Shipment. :D

I'm hoping it'll get out this afternoon. I'm sure it will.

Sounds like one of two things,
you're place in line was not sufficient to guarantee a copy, i.e., ordered too late or that apple ran out of copies in fulfilling its preorders and have delayed shipments to amazon.

I don't think SL is delayed in the sense that apple is pulling the plug on the 08/28/09 roll out.
 
+1 I'm starting to think that Apple are merely playing it safe incase of problems with Royal Mail.

No it was ordered in time to get it on the relase date.
Another email said
"Unfortunately, the release date for the item(s) listed below was changed by the supplier"

I'm in the same boat. Ordered mine on June 17th with Apple's up to date program. You never know, it could arrive at our doors on the 28th with no shipping updates (as has happened before). I guess we'll just have to wait.

In the mean time, we can all head on over to lifehacker and prep our macs for snow leopard!

I think it's because Apple prioritizes Apple orders first, then gives the rest to Amazon.

You'll get it soon enough... don't worry :D.
 
Beaumont, TX, US here, ordered early Tuesday morning and it's still showing "Prepared for Shipment" with "Delivers by August 28th." I hope I get my shipping email soon!!!!

Let's all hope that UPS and Fed-Ex use macs to track their shipments because they have a lot of SL boxes to move around the country/world in one night tonight.:D:
 
It doesn't seem like the U.S. customers will ship today. I noticed the ones outside the US like the UK are shipping already, that sux. I guess they will ship tomorrow and I'll get mine on Monday. :(
 
Up-To-Date Program

Hehe, I just registered to say this...

I ordered my copy via the Up-to-date program when it was first announced and my status still says "Not Yet Shipped." :(

However, I called Apple and they said they it has been prepared for shipment and its sitting in the warehouse for the carrier to come pick it up. He also said that they're going to overnight it to me so it'll be here by tomorrow. Yay! (I'm in Orange County btw.)
