My Amazon order (family pack) isn't schedules to arrive until Sept. 1. Ugh.

Oh well. I noticed they knocked $5.01 off the price... Now only $43.99!

Just called Apple. For US customers who bought the UTD version:

Me: I want to check the status of my UTD order.
Apple: ALL orders will arrive tomorrow.
Me: Well, I noticed a lot of the single user and family user orders have already been shipped, but none of the UTD orders have been marked.
Apple: We were told that ALL orders will arrive tomorrow, including the UTD orders. It's possible for the order to ship and arrive on the same day. Also, you may be close to a shipment warehouse.
Me: Ok thank you.

I hope that's true. My UTD order still says "Ships: By Aug. 28"

Is it me or has no one from UK had a tracking number from any courier?
I feel sad!

If you log on via the US site it does give a tracking reference, but doesn't work with any of TNT, Parcelforce, UPS...

Got my email this morning.

Shipped on: Aug 27, 2009 via PUROLATOR COURIER, LTD

It gives me a tracking number, and when I plug it into Purolator it says I need to call in to get the status.

You when I called in the lady said that the order has been processed, but hasn't been picked up by Purolator yet. She said that Apple normally does a large batch with one number, and when the truck comes to pick up the packages, it's at that point that I get a real tracking number.

So it looks like mine will be shipping tomorrow. I'm kind of anxious for this though. Think I can go to the apple store in West Ed, buy the box (assuming it's in the stores tomorrow), then return the box I receive in the mail??

i called the store today and they said they aren't even sure if they will have them in stock at 10am, so she suggested calling them around 8am when the phones open, but the phsyical store doesn't till 10

i to am having the same issue with the tracking number, hope that changes very soon. i am guessing that tomorrow morning we will have seen where this package has gone around and when it is arriving at our doors steps!

Just now got the email (6:20PM EST) that's it's been shipped overnight via FedEx. Coming from Middletown, PA.

Middletown = Harrisburg, PA

FedEx has a location there and they also fly out of Harrisburg International Airport.

I'm guessing (keyword GUESS) that Middletown is serving as the hub for the mid-Atlantic and/or the Northeast. I live in Harrisburg which is probably why I do not have a shipment notification. They're probably putting it on the truck tomorrow morning and delivering it along the normal route.

As I posted in earlier posts, a CSR from Apple told me that UTD versions would arrive tomorrow if you ordered before 2PM on Wednesday. It would have been nice, however, to be able to see that information for myself.

Canadian's get the shaft again

Im in Ontario, Canada and mine has not even shipped yet! It says it will ship by August 28th, so that gives them 1 day to get it here?! Any other Canadians from Ontario here?

I am in Oakville, Ontario and I received my shipping confirmation about ten minutes ago. It shows it as shipping today and delivering by Monday. As others have said, the Purolator link doesn't work yet. The girl I spoke to at Apple said they are over-nighting the orders to Canada, but warned they may be held up at customs. However, I often get Apple products before the date Apple specifies. I am hoping it is leaving California now (3pm PST) and will arrive in Toronto for customs at 2am EST, then pass through to the Trucks at 5am and hopefully be on my desk Tomorrow by noon. Please Apple, just give me SL tomorrow and, I promise, I shall sacrifice several Blackberries in your honour.

I'm not very optimistic. The way FedEx and UPS have been losing (yes, UPS lost an order of mine last week.... ) my orders, I'll probably never see it.

I probably should have just went to the Apple store...

I'm in Austin as well--my order changed went to "Prepared for Shipment" earlier in the day (ordered Wednesday at 9:49am), but hasn't shipped yet. Does state, "Ships: Delivers on Aug 28th".

I'm in Beaumont and mine is "In Transit" from Memphis, TN as of 4:30PM.

According to Fed-Ex mine shipped at 5AM but I didn't get an email till around 2PM today. So your copy could have possibly already shipped, but they are apparently bogged down on sending out confirmation emails.

Would it show in the Apple Store's order status page before the email shows up? Or does the confirmation email cause the page to update at the same time?

My coworker used Up To Date and submitted his 2 weeks ago, and his says it will ship tomorrow...
