My order (placed on Monday) instantly went to "Prepared For Shipment" status right after the order was complete. Card was charged within minutes as well.

I pre ordered a family pack from Apple's online store Monday night and by Tuesday morning, it was marked as "Prepared for Shipment". My guess is that it will ship on Thursday night to arrive sometime on Friday.

By the way, it lists my shipping method as "Priority" and that it delivers on August 28.

Ditto.

I ordered from the Canadian Apple online store and it says prepared for shipment, and Ships: By August 28th

Should be here Friday...:)

US Store

This is my status in the US Store. I pre-ordered Monday morning. In the US we are pretty much guaranteed to have it on Friday according to Apple.

in the UK store mine is still waiting, but checking on the US store the order is prepared for shipment. Now the £25/£39 question is, will the UK get it delivered on the 28th via the standard post route. I hope so as i have several machines to upgrade.

In the message it told me it will arrive on or before 28th august. If it doesnt, the bank holiday will delay the receipt till tuesday. Who knows? that might be a good thing.

I will wait and watch with snow leopard, I want it on that day but wont install it until i see the green light from other not-so-patient mac users

Ditto :/ Tried US Store and just says same (i'm in UK)

Sorta wishing i had just waited till Saturday and got it in Store......

My US store order (regular $29 disc) is still sitting there, but I'm not expecting it to go out until Tomorrow, from what I've heard. Who knows though, they may 2-day it out today.

I just checked on my status using the US store and my Up To Date and my retail version both say prepared for shipment.
Yet through the UK store it just says not yet shipped................?

Very starange.

It's just to do with the UK/EU stores not having a "Prepared for Shipment" option, unlike the US store. No idea why they don't, it would be useful if they did.

Otherwise with bank holiday etc its going to be next Tuesday....

My up to date order placed June 16 is still labeled (in the US store) as "not yet shipped."

UK store says "not shipped yet" where as same order in the U.S. store says "prepared for shipment".

I pre-ordered Leopard - never checked the order status though, but it arrived around 10am on the morning of official release, so I'm sure this'll be the same.

Explained really nicely here just above
