Snow Leopard Shipping? [merged]

Ordered Monday online in the US. Prepared for shipment and it delivers on Friday.:D
Apple is always good about shipping, so I didn't even pay premium for priority mail.
 
Also, anyone know why mine says MC223 Retail Upgrade as opposed to Mac OS X 10.6?

All the SL preorders get free priority shipping, none of us paid a premium for it.
 
Anyone know what service Apple normally uses for launch-day delivery? I have a new network switch coming from UPS that same day, to complete my Linux Time Machine server, and think it would be nice if they were in one delivery.
 
My order, placed on Monday 24th at 5:41pm still reads as "Not Yet Shipped" and hasn't changed from "ZML" to "INT" like others have.

Edit: Just downloaded the Widget, and that says "Prepared for Shipment"! :D

Don't worry, you'll get it. I guess you missed all the drama with the iPhone 3GS? People were freaking out left and right because it wasn't "Prepared for Shipment" when they thought it should have been, but everyone still got it on time.

BTW, mine is prepared for shipment.
 
I'm still interested when the first non-US snow leopards arrives as I'm wondering will we get it launch day since it looks like apple don't mention any guarantee delivery dates.

We'll time will tell if that rep was right... sometimes i'm skeptical on the sales side regarding deliverys. I guess we will soon know the answer soon enough. I seriously hope Apple do ship it out in advance like they do for our US friends.:cool:
 
I'm sure it will get to us Friday, just because some people wouldn't want to wait for the delivery of Snow Leopard when they could go to the shop and get it that day? Well thats what I think.

Also I am prepared for shipment on the US site and no on the UK site.
 
For the sake of a fair test I also asked and got a similar answer. Seems in the UK we'll have it next week.

What I mean to ask is. In the US the website says if you ordered before Wednesday you'll have it on your door for Friday. Does the same not apply in the UK?

well time will tell then... fri, sat, tue, we'll see. If it is the case then that's a shame, i just don't understand why the US get special prority if that was the case.:cool: especially when the disks are sitting in a big warehouse waiting for shipment.
 
Ordered Familypack Monday, 1PM.

It's been "Prepared for Shipment" since then, with "Ships: Delivers on Aug 28th". (just checked - no change)
 
It'll be a real dick move if the people who just ordered the $29 upgrade will get it by Friday, while us Up-To-Date people who ordered it weeks ago will have to wait longer.
 
The problem is due to apple's secrecy we won't know the real answer until it happens. Who knows outside of management how SL will be delivered for up-to-date program or non-US users. I mean sales rep will read a script but whether that's true we just don't know.

I just remembered that for 3GS preorders a lot of people had "not yet shipped" messages until the day before the launch, and they came ontime.
 
I ordered my UTD disc on June 18 and it still says not yet shipped. It will ship by August 28.

I would like to have it on Friday so I can play with it over the weekend but it's starting to look like that won't be the case. I'm tempted to pre-order a $29 disc for my MacBook (my UTD license is for the Mac mini) just to be sure I receive a disc on Friday. The only problem is I was hoping to use my Amazon credit to purchase the second license since it wouldn't cost me anything if I went with them.

Decisions, decisions.

I plugged my info into the delivery status widget and it says the same thing. Not yet shipped.
 
Well apple's US site now says 3-5 days for new orders I guess the window for friday delivery has now vanished. on the Uk site the main promotion in the store just says the price now but when you click on it still says ships by the 28th. Someone on twitter mentioned non-US people will have it shipped from the 28th.. but we see.

US orders placed before today are guaranteed by Friday.
 
I'm pretty certain that during at least Monday, the Apple Store's banner ad stated, "pre-order for Delivery August 28, 2009"
