Snow Leopard Shipping? [merged]

I don't disagree with you, but it's best not to get too worked up over these things.
Just as I was reading this forum, I got a text saying that it's shipped and to 'expect delivery on or before September 1st.' Good old snail mail. 
Mine came through at 5:46. Order status says it shipped on 26th.
Fingers crossed it gets here by Friday. The last order I had shipped by G3 was sent on 7th August but didn't get to me until 12th Aug. So my hopes aren't too high right now.
I just got an email from Apple saying that my order will ship on the 28th? What's this all about?
Ordered mine on monday and it shipped late last night.

Snow Leopard has been mailed!
I just received a notification that my Snow Leopard (Up To Date) order I placed last monday (the 24th) has been mailed to me! Expected delivery is september 1st, but normally the mail in The Netherlands only takes a day to deliver so I really expect it to be delivered tomorrow (the 28th). September 1st is probably just a fixed date put in there as september was the original release date...

IIRC when I ordered Leopard and Tiger at release (in the UK), it was a similar story, despatched from Holland just over a day before release date to be delivered via Royal Mail, with an estimated delivery date of 4-5 days after the release date.... but both were with me on release date.
So, as long as your order says its been despatched by midnight tonight, I think if you're in the UK you've got a pretty good chance of getting it tomorrow.

Release date changed?!
I ordered from amazon here in the UK (£1 cheaper, and I'm in no huge rush). Ship date was previously listed as 27th Aug. Now it's changed to 1st September, and I got this email this morning:

Apple use them loads from the Netherlands. However, from what I understand, this company will just be shipping the products in bulk into the UK/Ireland, from where they will be despatched by local national couriers or the postal service. You won't get a G3 Worldwide van turning up at your door.
So, I'm afraid there's no way of tracking AFAIK
Mine also shipped on the 26th to London, UK, from G3. In the email it says that no tracking is available as a postal carrier has been used for despatch.
Yes, it's G3 Worldwide, Netherlands. My shipping status says it's on its way to London today, so I guess will be delivered today or tomorrow despite the estimated date being the 2nd sept
Where are you finding this "on its way to London" bit? Apple's tracking doesn't go into that much detail and I can't for the life of me find the tracker on G3's website
