No it's not....

Series 7 Midnight with Anthracite / Black Nike Sport Band

I don't think you're catching my drift

Apple/Tim knew exactly what they were doing. You want true silver/gold? Pay up for the stainless steel, peasants - lulz.

Until next year, or maybe two years from now, when they "introduce a bold new color lineup for the aluminum Watch, now including gold and silver!" 🤣

Silver is always my favorite color from MacBook/iMac to iPhone/watch, everything you name it. I've sold my S6 last month after the new case rumors and now none of series 7 models seem attractive to me. New chip is not superior and there is no silver color. Starlight doesn't match even with this year's iPhones. I do like stainless steel but again S7 chip is no bueno for me.

I got a Graphite iPhone 13 Pro Max. But I cannot get a Graphite Apple Watch 7 to match it. Fire the interns, Apple!!!

I checked out the colors because I figured they must be atrocious. I thought they were fine. I guess to someone who wants Space Grey, Midnight must be a disappointment. I can barely tell the difference. This is pretty first world problem type stuff for me, but I guess this is the monster Apple created.

This is funny.

Apple sent me a survey about the iPhone 13. One of the questions was about what I liked the least about the new iPhones. I said that the color options were horrible on both the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro, and I was incredibly disappointed.

I don't mind this US patriotic color scheme, but these variants of colors are unpalatable.

I defaulted to my usual (white) anyway.

Brutal to see their ID group getting destroyed over this, but given how they used to pick beautiful colors for their hardware enclosures, I think it's well deserved.
I don't think that all the colors of the iPhone are bad. The one color they did fix this year was the Product Red. That was just... off last year. But I think the color options for the phones are fine aside from Starlight replacing silver on the 13. That said though, I do like all of last years colors better (except for Product Red). I'll be keeping my iPhone 12 Pro, not just because the color, but that helps haha. I don't like upgrading every year anyways, it just seems wasteful. It is time for a new watch though. My S0, while still going strong, is starting to get old with the slowness.

Silver Stainless Steel, can never go wrong 👍🏼
I actually like the Graphite SS quite a bit. That's probably what I'll end up going for when I buy. I'll wait until I can walk in the store and see them in person though. It's going to be a huge upgrade from my silver S0 SS.

I respectfully disagree. I would agree if you were talking about exclusive new colors, but the more neutral colors should be accessible at all price points in my opinion.
Why should they be available at all price points? The most popular colors should cost more since they will have a higher demand. That's how free market systems work. You compromise on the low end and get to be picky on the high end.

Unfortunately… I am unhappy with the new iPad Mini Smart Folio options. I want something dark green like the Pro, Air and regular iPad have. Alternatively, I also liked the Cactus color.
I want a full-size keyboard on my mini. IBM did it on the ThinkWrite back in 95, so there is no excuse for not having a keyboard on the mini.

What is the rational for breaking the over decade old status quo (talking the mobility portfolio here)? Hurt your overall brand image for a few million that will end up lost in the couch cushions? It’s a nonsense business move as much as it is a let down for the customer. It’s not people buying the Hermes edition making the Apple Watch the world’s most popular wearable - it’s the entry level buyers. Give them black and white, it costs you nothing.

A guy on here with a series 0 wanted black and isn’t upgrading because midnight is only 9.5/10 blackness level instead of true black?

Half the people complaining will end up with a series 7 anyway once they see unboxings and get the urge for a new shiny toy

How ridiculous some of you are…

What problems or complaints ARE people allowed to have?

It seems like a faction of the forum would prefer that everyone simply express joy and happiness with anything and everything Apple does...and all should pull out their credit card, pay uncle Tim and be quiet.

Are we customers or just subjects here to pay Apple for whatever they do?

These are watches.
You wear them on your wrist.
Other people see them on you

It is extremely legitimate to have strong opinions about the colors.

What makes your position any more valid than anyone else’s? Seriously asking. Like is there science supporting it or something?

I don’t make any wearables.
