I’ve been having a weird bug where my Home Screen gets stuck on one page and won’t swipe to other pages, the App Library or the widgets page. A restart fixes it so it’s not a huge problem but it’s been a bit annoying
I have more or less the same: sometimes when I want to 'unwake' my 14 Pro from the lock screen it is non-responsive. Only after 10 seconds or so it registers the buttons and screen again. This happens multiple times per day. (Hard) reset did not fix this.

Am I the only one or does this sound familiar to more people?
I'm considering of returning this device and get a new one (which is cumbersome since it's sold out everywhere...)

For battery life. Try at least temporarily this:
Settings -> Siri & Search -> Scroll down when you start seeing the Apps.

For each App - Disable everything except Show App in Search.

This will prevent spotlight search inside apps, learning from their usage and Spotlight will stop indexing everything all the time.

For me, on iPhone 14 Pro max - it had a huge impact on battery life.

First 2 days with brand new phone - ended up with 45-48% battery life.
Since I disabled that I end the day with 68-75% battery life.

I think this is what Low Power Mode does too.

Try it if you don't need specific Spotlight searches within apps, at least until a patch is released.

Update: Also check the attached image and disable all items

Then why would you update to a new OS immediately after release?

Also, “disgusting”? Dramatic, much?
I say disgusting because that's how I feel. Disgusted. When tech doesn't perform the way it was promised that's how I feel. You may find it dramatic and that's fine. And you're right I was mistaken for trusting a public release of an operating system. I've learned my lesson.

Interesting find. I'll give that a try

Have pretty good battery life on 14PM but can’t hurt to try ! Thanks

Seems unneeded for Siri to have all this stuff on

I am having an issue on my 14 Pro where the camera can't seem to decide which lens to use. I'll line up a quick shot, it'll switch the lens and, since it is at a different angle now, I will line up again then it will switch back to the other lens.

Dramatic, whiney, and absurdly entitled, actually.

Found an AirPlay bug - should be easy to replicate. Have an iPad Air running 15.7 and Apple TV 4K running tvOS 16.0. Apple TV is connected via Ethernet. Used to be able to AirPlay from iPad to Apple TV no problem before 15.7/16.0 release. Wouldn't work. Rebooted both twice. Then I unplugged ethernet cable from Apple TV 4K. Immediately started working.

Of course they did, every company does. But Apple has never had so many software issues in such a short period of time. And that period of time coincides perfectly with the shift to WFH.

I love how every time I make this very obvious point about WFH, people dislike/disagree but nobody ever offers an opposing argument. Because it’s clearly accurate, y’all just don’t want it to be true.

Before iOS16 update, I can usually charge my iPhone 13 Pro Max once every 2 days. Now at the end of the day I'm always left with around 20% battery which won't be enough for the next day. 99% battery health and no change to my usage habit. The drain is real.

I unplugged my 14 Pro with 100% battery and went on a two hour walk while listening to a podcast and no other apps running. In two hours, it went from 100% to 62% battery. It's abysmal.
