It just **doesn't** work!
I'm still on Yosemite for other issues with El Capitan..
This reminds me when Apple shipped iPhoto on Macs and it wouldn't open,,, 24 hours later they released an update to fix the problem.

It was on an old machine that runs faster with older OSs. 10.9 was the oldest viable version until this, I've upgraded it to 10.10 now.Why are you still running 10.9? Aren't the requirements identical for 10.9, 10.10, and 10.11 (I don't remember... my MacMini is stuck at 10.6 because it only has 1 GB of RAM and 10.7 requires 2 GB, and my MacBook Air is stuck at 10.7... I don't remember why.)
No, but some apps must have a valid certificate to launch. Certificates expire, but (they're supposed to) get updated with app updates. If you'd never update your apps again, the next time this will happen is in 2017, from the new certs.A question, if I may: Is it a requirement that MAS apps contact Apple before opening?
Oops... must have hit a nerveI don't deny the fact that someone here would hate this comment. But denying that you don't hate is ignorant. You're just like people who ignite and then deny it that you're not involved. Besides we're talking about OS X here so it's not relevant. Most likely people are mad at you, because how stupid you are talking different from the topic.

Same here, 1Password suddenly asked for Apple ID username and password as "it was purchased on another computer". Ehr... ok... why now? Been updating 1Password for quite some years on this laptop.
It only affects my iPhone...
My Nexus 6 and Moto X Pure continue to be the best smartphones I own.
(relax it's just a bit of humor)

Yep, looks like Tweetbot on 10.9 is toast.

I'm not sure if this is related but right after turning the Macbook on, I couldn't open any apps!

Was worried that I might have been hacked or some other paranoia, didn't sign in through the pop up window but instead signed in through App Store, sort of fixed whatever it was.
El Cap is 100% not beta quality. Yosemite, maybe, but El Cap is smooth and reliable, like Snow LeopardI'm also running Mavericks. Much more stable then these new crap OSes. Also faster and fewer bells and whistles. I don't like beta software on production machines. El Capitan is beta quality.
Seems like a big issue to people who need to run those apps but cannot.SHouldn't happen but not that biggie either.
Maybe on some machines it's stable. On older ones (like 2013 iMac) bluetooth has 6feet range, app hangs, etc. Also check the reviews on the app store, especially the recent ones.El Cap is 100% not beta quality. Yosemite, maybe, but El Cap is smooth and reliable, like Snow Leopard

Really though --
Where's the quality that goes with the premium price we paid? Oh yeah, we got that super-slimmed down <insert device name here>.
Apple's brand image is in the toilet as far as I'm concerned.
This is major issue #5 for El Cap that I'm experiencing. Seriously considering rolling back to Yosemite.
Billings 3 is still not working on 10.10.5, even after a sign out, delete, reboot and re-install. Frustrating!
