Yes it was at least to me. I ended up canceling my SG order.

But one thing is for sure Space Grey in whatever unboxing videos that I have seen does look chic and elegant barring the smudges and fingerprint marks it should indeed look classy. Have to see silver unboxing videos more to comment on Silver one's.

Certainly it looks cool and fresh.

Its up to you really... I just hate smudges :)

But even those smudges are temporary for e.g. If you put your fingers or hands on it and take it off the smudges appear but automatically go away, slowly vanish from the area where you were holding, touching it.

I clean my MacBooks with a ultrafine sunglass microfiber once a week with a diluted alcohol/water solution, and always wash my hands prior to using them, so smudges for me are pretty irrelevant and just don't really happen. Your computer is either dirty or it isn't, doesn't matter the finish. But yes, Space Gray would show smudges a bit more I would say. I had the Space Gray and while I agree it was nice, something about it just bothered me. The Silver MacBooks just have a classic allure to them and I love the bright finish. Very happy with my Silver Non Touchbar 13" Model. It is my favorite Mac I have owned, by a long shot.

i looking for unboxing Videos but all i see are space grey and not silver :(

I love the Space Gray but I'd prefer black. I'm Batman.

I don't mind smudges. It's like breaking in a pair of Levi's. Gets better with age.

I have space grey IPP and rMB. It is nice for smaller devices. I actually placed the order for the space grey and ended up cancelled it. I reordered the same configuration with traditional silver. I think, it is timeless just like other had mentioned comparing to other color. With the darker color any scratches will be more visible.

if you want a space grey machine, buy the rMB alongside your 2016 rMBP.

the silver is classy, and I suspect will be the less commonly seen one

heck, when I was at apple store testing out the new keyboard, I didn't see any silver on display (but to be fair, only two of the newer model on display anyways)

Reordered mine the other day because I wanted to increase storage and thought about going silver as so many are choosing space grey. I stuck with space grey tho. Really want a change from silver for awhile.

Here's one mostly on the silver but it has both in it.

I was originally for the space grey but changed to the silver.

here's a screenshot from that video that makes me think the silver looks really nice , personally

I am really starting to hate my MBP 13 non touch Space Grey. It gets dirty even when just holding it. After 2 Days it looks like a device that has been used for 2 years. But when its clean it looks like a jewelry.

Since you have a Space Grey rMB don't you think that looks more classy over the Silver ? What are your thoughts on it ?

One thing about the silver is: It is what really makes it a Mac. I also like how clean silver looks. One real main reason that made me go back to silver is: My space grey IPP had few speck marks at the edge where the keyboard attached to. it was some sort of sand or metal particle that got trap between the magnet of the keyboard and the iPad. I was really upset that the specks are deep enough that space grey color came off and it looks really bad. If my IPP is silver, I would probably not going to notice it as much. But, with space grey exterior color and light natural silver metal color, the scratch just stands out a lot. I like both space grey and silver equally. I think, the scratch factor is really made me switched back to silver for 2016 MBP 15.

Does anyone have any regrets about choosing Space Grey over traditional Silver?

I ordered space grey since it looks great in the videos and especially on apples web page. Then while I was waiting for my order to be shipped I went and checked it out at a store that just got them in and basically RAN home to cancel the order.

I get PC vibes from the space grey, those thin PC:s desperately trying to look like a mac. Its way too dark and looks dull and sad. I just didnt get that premium apple feel from it at all.

Nope, sorry not sorry, for me MacBooks should be in silver: classy, premium, elegant and not to mention finger print resistant.

I really recommend everyone to first check them out in person, they look very different in person compared to pictures.

I went all in on Space Grey, have a MacBook 12" in SG and love it, but screen is a bit too small for me for longer work!

Does anyone know how the SG MB age as that should be a good indicator for the future of the SH MBP.

Personally, I prefer the looks of the SG but I'd have reservations on how it's going to look in 6-12 months.
