Space Gray here, because it's a new color and dark things somehow go with the "pro" feel to me (silly, I know). I switched the menu bar and Dock to dark, and it looks really great.

With that said - the silver one is beautiful too. I wouldn't say it's the classic look - because Apple changed the look of MacBooks several times, we were just stuck with silver the longest. I think going forward, Space Gray, Gold, Rose Gold - are all just as "Mac" as Silver. But still, I love the silver one and I got used to it with my previous MBP which is still very beautiful (I see it every day, because it belongs to my girlfriend now :))

I wanted a change, and the Touch Bar, when it's colorful, looks better on a SG to me.

You can't go wrong, really :)

I ordered my first MacBook ever and it's a silver one. The space gray option looks like something HP uses.

Funny you say that because someone had a gray laptop in class and I couldn't tell if it was HP or Apple :D

Space Gray would be a killer if it had the glowing Apple logo. Otherwise no, how would we differentiate ourselves from the HP and Dell commoners? :D

Dang, even the ASUS I'm still using as a gaming machine is dark gray.

And I think Silver just looks classic, just like I like my car to be black and dress shirt to be white. The SG looks good under good lighting but it looks hideous in a dark room.

I think it looks even better in a dark room.. Love it when the grey merge into the surroundings, less obstruction.

My Zenbook is like a "space gray mbp" and love using it at nights. I ordered spacegray mbp aswell. My current silver mbr "shines" in the dark... doesnt bother me really but i like more the darker colour at nights.

I went to look in person a few days ago and I'm really taken by the look of the space grey. Definitely go for the space grey.

Well I have seen the Space Grey one but haven't seen the Silver one I think I like the silver one based on past modes when compared it to Space Grey.

it does look great in a dark room. Unfortunately for me my usage isn't in a dark room, so the silver won out [after lots of time comparing in different lighting conditions]. The variation in the SG is what killed it for me.

Like a girl you pick up when drunk - looks great in the dark, but when the lights comes on it's a different story :)

I went with silver as I like the contrast of black keys on silver. Also, I wasn't entirely sure that space gray was as forgiving as silver when it came to scratches on the body.

For the 13 inch I would definitely go silver, but for the 15 inch the case looks a lot sleeker in space grey. The silver Apple logo doesn't stand out as much as the dark logo for the space grey. And the speaker grills look too vast and ugly on the silver model... just my two cents

I actually felt the opposite. I like the silver on the 15 inch and space grey on the 13. The silver one looks really nice on the 15 inch this year and i dont even know why lol. I got too much dell/hp vibes from the space grey 15

Soooo the only space gray laptop I owned prior to my 15" was a 12" MacBook. That 12" was thrown in and out of bags with no damage. I'm guessing it was small enough. Just took my 15" out of Thule backpack to find a wonderful scratch from the zipper. So maybe space gray, if you want it to stay perfect, shouldn't be carried in a bag that has the zipper close to the laptop compartment

Looks like I'll be going with a silver 15 after I return my 13 :p

Is it silver... after the ding

I got Silver, thought I was going to regret the colour choice but so far I haven't. I think it looks fine, the same as all the MacBooks previous to it.

All my iOS devices are gold, so I'm not going for a matching set or anything anyway!

I've been looking at a silver MBP for almost 8 years daily, so went for Space Grey. The Silver in the smaller design is also very sweet though, was almost tempted to change.

Space Gray here. This looks very nice and sleek and goes well together with the Space Gray iPhone too.

Dark menu bar / dock is a must with Space Gray. This feels fresh and new after 8 years of use of MacBooks with that same old silver design with black keys. Space Gray looks much better with black keys in my opinion.

This is why I chose Space Gray and it looks great with the Touch Bar as well.

If this is anything like the way I pick my iPhone colors, I'll always wish I picked the other color I was considering after I get my device. I'll get the space grey and then wish that I got the silver, but if I get the silver, I'll wish I got the space grey. Anyone else have this problem?

Just worried about scratches but really love the new space grey look. :/ any other space grey users experiencing scratches and dings?
