Danny Winget in his you tube review of the tough armor had a very different experience regarding the scratch resistance of the case. At 3:59 in his video he comments how prone to scratching the case is and displays the scratches on his case.

Well, I disagree. I have had mine on for over a month and lay it down on all kinds of surfaces. Not a single scratch. Like I said, the slim armor scratched when I looked at it.

Agreed.

My slim armor in blue scratched pretty quickly.

Tough armor shows no signs of scratching, at least yet, and I've had it for at least two weeks now.

My Tough Armor case was easily scratched on the first few hours of ownership. My case and phone wasn't dropped either. All I did was out the phone in my pocket and in a protective slot in my messenger bag. It sucks but I'll take my case getting scratched over the phone getting a scratch any day of the week.

whatt

I ordered black one on Sunday look what i got today.

Seems you guys are missing the point of his post

Anyway, seems like Spigen's having alot of issues with their customer service and shipping lately.

On the one hand, it sucks that you didn't receive the color you ordered… but on the other hand, the white backplate has pretty awesome contrast with the black TPU part of the case.

Anyone that got the tough armor bundle(case, screen protector, glass screen protector), do you put both screen protectors on the phone? Like plastic first then glass over it????

White looks way too flashy maybe not flashy but caught in the eye easily. They sent me the correct one after they realized their mistake i should recieve the black one today and send it back the white.

I'm not sure why you'd do that, it's a waste of a screen shield

Only the glass or the screen protector goes on. Curious; why would you think that both protectors go on?

WOW, now that's some soft ****!

They messed up my order for a Slim Armor S via Amazon as well but they made it right and threw an extra case.

Contact them.

Do not order from Spigen directly. I have seen many threads on that already. Get it on Amazon.

That's what I did. They use Amazon as a fulfillment company, so it was here in two days.

Theoretically, you could put the screen protector over the glass one to protect it. lol

Those of you complaining about scratches, what color case do you have?

I have the slate blue.

It doesn't scratch like a Speck Candy....

But it does have plently of scuffs and scratches after 2 weeks.

In a few months it will look bad.

Also, I only put it in my pocket without anything else and when I lay it down on a table I lay it down screen side.

I got one..

I put it on for about 5 minutes and here are my thoughts.

Pros
:apple: Not as big / heavy as the Otterbox commuter.
:apple: The lip around the screen is nicely protective.
:apple: It looks cool and unique (I got the metal slate)
:apple:The webbing on the inside is a great idea for dealing with heat from the phone

Cons
:apple: Open hole in the back (this can be fixed by putting on a back screen protector)
:apple: Buttons are not as responsive as I would like. The apple leather case is much better in this regard.
:apple: The back plastic piece is slippery
:apple: The back plastic piece has sharp uncomfortable corners.

The last two are deal breakers for me.. The case makes the phone uncomfortable to hold and slippery enough to cause me to drop it more often..

Because of my last case from SGP and all of the great reviews, I was honestly expecting more from Tough armour.
I had the SGP Ultra thin air for my iPhone 4s. One of my favourite things about it was the rounded sides. It also had a glossy plastic that didn't slip out of my hands easily. With the Tough Armour you gain protection but lose those attributes that make it a pleasure to hold and keep ahold of..

5 minutes later it went back into it's packaging and the apple leather case back on the phone.. I really like the leather case. However for those times I feel like I'm going to need more protection, I'm still looking for a better solution.

I agree with all that. Mine is on eBay.

Have had mine for a day now and have 0 complaints! It's by far the best case I have owned. For me it's a great mix between slimness and protection. I have the smooth black so it's not "slippery" and I have not experienced the sharp edges that others have commented on. Overall I would recommend this case to anyone who wants a good level of protection without sacrificing too much weight or bulk but does not want/need a waterproof case design.

Only the glass or the screen protector goes on. Curious; why would you think that both protectors go on?

Because I ordered the promotional tough armor challenge and it came with a glass screen protector and a normal one. Thats the only reason why I thought you might use both, why would they bother sending a crystal screen protector with it?

So you can have the choice of the glass to normal screen protector.

I agree how two screen protectors in a package can be confusing, especially if the two protectors are different.

If you have a glass protector and a plastic one, why would anybody use the plastic?
