WARNING!

The Tough Armor case may damage your iPhone. I do not recommend using this case without protection on the rear of the iPhone.

I took it off today after just a few weeks on and there was small but clear marks in a perfect circle where the logo hole was. My iphone has had no drops or exposure to dusty environments. You could no see the marks while the case was on, they are right at the edge of the hole. Not sure if it was dust/dirt creeping in, or the case it's self which did it.

I had gone of this case anyway and switched to a Magpul, due to the Tough Armors slippy back and the way it feels in my hand after a while. I'm glad I did! But there no way I would go back to one now, at least not without some kind of protection on the back of mine iphone.

I have noticed that the back part tends to be loose when not used or clammed to phone. Once you snap it on to the phone, the backpart becomes tight that it is hard to remove it. Over all, the case itself has a really good grip once it is snapped on to the phone. Nothing to worry there buddy.

Thanks a lot for the answer i was bit concerned.

I had that too, they just rubbed off though.

Wish mine would, the are small pockmarks and scratches in the metal back.

I had that too, but it rubbed off. I also have a clear protector on the back, so I don't really have to worry about that.

That being said, inspecting the material, I don't see how the case itself causes the damage. More than likely dirt, grim or something that came in contact with your phone (through the logo hole) caused the damage.

Probably, yes.

I could see that hole being a problem, i swapped to the black apple leather case instead, better grip and way lighter/thinner too. They don't have the hole in the 5c case, they should be changed to the same.

Really? Any idea if the belt clip will fit a utility belt, 2 inches wide?

I have a 2" utility belt, and I have never been able to find a case with a older that fits. Your best bet is a general purpose tactical pouch, that what I use. More protection too.

Any recommendations? I'm thinking maybe a camera pouch?

1) Does anyone have any comment on whether or not the white one gets dirty easily?

2) Also, those of you with the Glas.TR protector... does the Tough Armor kind of hang over and snugly "clamp" down on the edges of the glass protector? Or does it sit next to it creating a sort of groove that dirt/dust/etc. can build up in?

Was thinking of getting the white with a Glas.TR nano slim or something but if there's a groove around the edges I might pass on that.

And by that same reasoning, do the non-rounded glass protectors from Spigen work well with the Tough Armor to prevent chipping of the edges?

Drop test (not on purpose!)

I just yanked my iPhone 5S with Tough Armor from desk height! (30 inches, plus the acceleration of the yank! Forgot I had my headphones on and rapidly moved away from desk on executive chair). Phone went flying down, hit the floor, corner first, rebounded (!), and I caught it on the first rebound. After my heart rate came down, I inspected the phone and case... Good as new!!

Only damaged was to the back plate, which has an inch and a half scratch, I believe that maybe the desk corner scratched it in the process. Scratches in the satin silver seem to hide better than on other colors I have seen posted. Depending on how light reflects, sometimes they are very hard to see, which I like.
I concur with others, Spigen should sell these backplates on their own.
Am I glad I have this protection!

Not my video, but I thought I'd share a video review of the Champagne Gold Tough Armor. The gold is slightly off compared to the iPhone's shade, but it still looks pretty good in the flesh.

Looks sick, like it would be War Machine's cell phone! haha

I bought the gold because I am a case addict. I didn't like the look at all with my Space Grey and the cut out. I have already sent it back to Amazon. Should have taken a pic but I needed the phone.

My tracking sill shows that it's sitting in a depot half way across the country, but my Social Stack bundle just showed up.

I got the Smooth Black, and it's definitely a very nice case

Just got mine today. 2 day shipping via Amazon. I got Satin Silver and I'm loving it so far. Sturdy. If you've been using your phone bare for awhile, this case might take sometime to get used to because its a bit thick.

I ordered the smooth black over a month ago from amazon. Still waiting for it to show up. I'm used to the magpul type case but wanted a change. Am I going to have a problem with the size? I put my phone in my front pocket jeans. Hope it won't become a haste getting it in and out
