Two quick questions: Since this thread is about preordered Sprint iPhones, does that imply that everyone here ordered through Sprint rather than through the Apple website?

I preordered from the Apple site late on Friday (around 11:30pm EST), and my status is still in "Preparing for Shipment." I've checked UPS and FedEx and neither of them has my phone yet.

Secondly, the e-mail I got from Apple confirming my order says "As soon as your iPhone ships, we'll send you additional information, including your phone number." Does this mean they assigned me a new phone number (which would also explain why I can't find a shipment through UPS or FedEx), or is this a canned e-mail that they send to everyone? Reeeeally don't want a new number... :confused:

There is a thread dedicated to ordering through apple.com, you might have better luck finding answers there. I'm pretty sure this is mostly sprint.com orders here.
 
Are you guys getting emails from support@phoneordersupport.com? I finally got an email with tracking this morning from that address but it's sent via USPS (not UPS) and it was shipped Friday and is arriving TODAY :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Tracking number

I just checked the status of my order on Sprint's website and it actually shows a tracking number. I realize that doesn't necessarily mean anything other than a label has been printed, but at least it's something. djh
 
Mine came from "websales@sprint.com"

Did you order from Sprint.com?

Yeah I had to order through Sprint.com because we moved the entire family from AT&T to Sprint so we couldn't do it on apple's site.

And the email has nothing that says sprint on it. Just says phone order support and they had our email for the account and the tracking.

I will!!! But seems pretty far fetched to think it'll arrive today after all the trouble I've had with customer support. This morning my order was cancelled for no reason and a new order was processed - even though they didn't even call or email me. I had to call in to figure it all out.

Sprint is just as bad as AT&T for customer service it seems :(
 
Can't I at least get some type of update of where this thing is other than "order processed"?

Hmmm, well I hate to further your doubts, but phoneordersupport.com doesn't LOOK like it's affiliated with Sprint in anyway. Unless it's a third party they went through for some of the orders.

Haha that does seem fishy - thanks for looking that up because I wasn't able to find anything. I am still expecting phones on Friday. In fact, if all of us gets our preorders on Friday we should have an internet wide celebration lol. Sprint is not handling this very well - however, as long as we all get it on the 14th we can let it slide ;)

Did you get a dy order number and then provided a DM14 or oy order number? If it was canceled, it may have been due to porting the numbers over, and had to be replaced with a DM14 order number to make the port in request process correctly, as sometimes when orders are placed on Sprint.com, the port in requests fail and must be replaced, hence the new order number. The email could take 4-24 hours to arrive.

Thanks for the clarification - that explains it - I did get a new DM14 number which still doesn't have a tracking number. The CR did say I will still get our phones on Friday but I'm a little nervous. As for the random email with tracking I totally don't know where that came from or what will become of it. It still says out for delivery so I guess we'll know soon enough.
 
UPS finally updated to "shipping label has Ben created" oh hell yes! I know, it doesn't mean much, but damn I am excited. Truly is feeling like Christmas
 
I have a feeling if we Sprint folks don't get something beyond "order label created" by tomorrow then we wont get it til Saturday :(
 
Mine finally updated to let me know the label is printed and my order is processed and ready for UPS. Now I just have to stop checking the website 3 times a hour...

I got the same :'( I can't wait it needs to be pick up tomorrow supostly is two days air delivery
 
Hey, now that all your shipping details are updating, what is it saying the package weight is?
It is saying mine is 1.8 lbs when earlier it was saying 1.10.

Mine is saying 1.8lbs. But I have two of them in the package. Yay for the label being created.
 
I'm in Minneapolis, MN and the interactive map on packagetrackr.com now has my package pinned as located here. I'm thinking its actually gonna arrive tomorrow!

My interactive map shows Africa. So I wouldn't put a lot of stock in it. But then again, mine doesn't appear to be marked at all.
