Sprint iPhone Pre-Order Status Thread

Got the official email from Sprint awhile ago, 9:55pm EST, pre-ordered white 64gb version around near 2pm last Friday.
No indication of when it will arrive through the UPS tracking # yet, but considering how late in the day I made my order (compared to everyone else doing theirs in the early morning hours) I think those who managed to get theirs in before me will be in just as good a shape too

I have an interesting experience with Sprint so far. I preordered iphone 4S 64 GB on Friday am, tried to cancel the order on Friday night ( thought I would cancel and reorder it and get Applecare+), was told that the request would be submitted, there is no guarantee that it can be cancelled and I may just have to decline when it is delivered. I was also told to check the order status as I could reorder when cancellation is done.
This evening, order status said the order is cancelled, call Telesales if I want to preorder again. When I called, sales person said my order is still there so I called 1 866 789 8292 and found out that the phone is at the warehouse, order is " cancelling" but not completely cancelled yet !
I was asked if I wanted to keep the order, at that point, I decided to keep it instead of reinstating my upgrade eligibility and preordering again. There is no guarantee that I would be able to keep the order !

So, i had my iphone all ordered on friday, charge went to my credit card "awaiting authorization" and i had a tracking number "ready for UPS"
all of a sudden, the charge on my card is gone, the order number on sprint.com/myorder "no longer matches our records" what the hell happened?????????

Same thing happened to me, except they had charged my card already. The charge is still there, but I get the error on sprint.
Mine is doing that too, maybe everyone's is. I wouldn't worry about it, my tracking number is still good.
My order number on the Sprint site shows invalid, but I already received a UPS tracking number. Maybe the myorder site is down.
Wouldn't doubt it, this is the largest shipment of phones Sprint has probably ever had to deal with at one time. All the phones probably ship out tomorrow (if they are to arrive at the destination on Friday, with two day shipping) so Sprint is probably scrambling to get everything in order, or at least hope that it is.

The order status terminology has changed now to:
It used to have that "we're working hard to make sure your phone will arrive by 14, or 15th at latest" to this. It better not take 5 days.

You will get it if you have a number, it wont update because apple gave UPS a special order to keep the phones until oct 14 which is the release day.
Maybe the phones are already in the states and only need to be sent out two days prior? So hopefully today we see some movement, if not, my iPhone 4 got here last year while the tracking number still said it was in like Hong Kong (it wasn't a preorder though, like a month after)
Checking out the other threads for different carriers, I believe that this is plausible. Lots of people have listed that the tracking numbers given have shown the phones coming in from China to Alaska. So they all could be here in the states!
I am guessing by tonight we should see some movement with our tracking numbers.
That's exactly what mine used to say before I got my tracking number and for a little while until I refreshed the page this morning. Mine basically is telling me "if it doesn't get to you Friday, then it'll be there Monday" since I don't believe UPS does weekend deliveries.
I still need my damn tracking number, if I get it today, the phone will be here on friday, if I get it tomorrow it will be on saturday.
Good to know that if it doesn't come Friday it could actually be delivered Saturday as opposed to waiting all weekend!

Credit card was charged on the 7th for the preorder. Credit card charge fell off. I understand that Sprint can only keep a hold on funds for around 3 days. Woke up this morning and found the charge back on my account, which is great.
Account order page says the whole spiel about a shiny new iPhone but does give me a tracking number for my phone.
UPS shows that a printing label has been printed and the destination is correct. My guess is that they'll update the shipping sometime today because they will be going out today (2nd day air) and puts the phone at our doorstep on Friday.
So if you haven't gotten your tracking number or your credit card hasn't been charged again, don't worry, it will all come through. We're getting down to the wire.
