Thanks for the photos. Wow that looks a lot like a dark silver and nothing like SBSS looks under that lighting.
we should all boycott apple until they give us the black one back

It is definitely a loss. Per photos by @Binarymix and @Lunfai it simply doesn't look black. More of a gray mercury color.

A million % not black, it's like they mixed space black with silver SS. It looks good though, I don't mind the colour change (for a year...).
That’s the official SS link bracelet, and yeah I’d say the new colour is just a grey coloured stainless steel.
I heard ya, though while this isn't ugly, it's clearly not a substitute for the SBSS that I really like.
As a link bracelet owner, I don't see this Graphite in my future given current photos. If I should end up deciding to upgrade to an S6, I guess it'll be SBTi.
Yepp, I'll be pissed if I had the link bracelet. I do not think that will match with graphite.
Graphite looks exactly how I was hoping. Always been put off the silver SS but have been getting bored of SBSS so this looks to be the perfect t compromise. In fact Graphite is the thing that actually made me retire my S3! Had it been SB again I wouldn’t have bothered!

Well, that's a bummer. Mine gets here next week, but I just ordered a titanium Watch to replace it, and I'll just have to return the graphite Watch and wait a few more weeks for the titanium to arrive. 🤷♂️
Not seeing the usual "hands-on" meet after the Apple presentation kind of left us in the dark about what these new colors really look like. The graphite color is waaaaay lighter than I was hoping for, or I'd just keep it.

Yeah give me a second and I’ll post some. At least they looked exactly the same when I took off my space black and put on the graphite in the car.
Actually they are different, thats my bad. In the light they looked the same. Below is graphite on the left and space black on the right. Its very subtle in person but there is a difference.
It’s almost the same color as the ekg sensors on the back of the 4 and 5.

Graphite looks much more mercurial, very metallic and doesn’t absorb the light like Space Black SS
