I hope the packaging is all black.
I've thought this myself several times. I don't think it will happen, but it would look cool!
I hope the packaging is all black.
I agree but we can dream.
The just released review on Engadget says the plain stainless link model looks odd because the case is polished/mirror finish and the links are brushed, which clash. Whereas the Space Black case and links match. Just another good reason to have chosen it.
Actually based on all the SB try-on pics the case is glossy/shiny black while the bracelet is a brushed/matte black. So it's a similar contrast but just in black. Looks awesome though!
Just wish they would have had a try-on model available at our local store in Kitchener. *sigh* Had to settle for the SS link for the demo.
I hear ya - I don't believe that in ANY of the 8 or so Apple stores in the Washington DC area they have an SSB for try-on, just under the glass. Once a week I have to go and take a look, and I can't even touch it... sniff.

Sigh......I haven't seen ANYONE post about getting their Space Black watch, or even a change in order status......
Am I the only one feeling a bit like an orphan?????
no you aren't and the reason no-one has one is because apple didn't make any of these until people ordered them. they didn't want to get stuck with a large quantity of an expensive item and have to eat it if no-one ordered them.
As excited as I am/was about the watch, I've been starting to debate why I ordered one. I've gone the last month not missing it, realistically. Why make that big investment, for what exactly?
Will I cancel? No. But if I'm having second thoughts I'm sure others here or offline are too. Long lead times like this don't help.

I have been thinking the same thing! As I wait weeks to get something I ordered at midnight I feel like I lose the desire and want for the device a little more with each passing day. I, like you, have considered saving my $1099 and moving on, which is odd because I have always had launch day Apple products.
The way I feel is that the more people that cancel because of impatience, will add a somewhat more exclusive sense of the watch to me. That is providing my wife does not have me committed for obsessing over it. My wife, and daughter by the way had theirs show up on day one. #
