My wife's Watch arrived last Thursday. Had not received a PFS or a charge until Wednesday morning around 5 am. I'm holding out for a Wednesday delivery until Tuesday.

Guys we can get thru this. The window has 14 days, we can't go on like this for 14 days!!
I'm gonna play some Mortal Kombat X to release some stress.!!!!

Delivery window in the UK for these starts tomorrow (12th May), and its 3:45pm here, usually see cards being charged at 4pm, but from what I've heard we don't usually see movement on Mondays.

Then again a UPS flight landed last night from China, hopefully full of watches. Appear to be arriving every other day from what I have heard in the UK order thread and we tend to see movement the day after the flight lands. Fingers crossed that's today, ready for delivery tomorrow.

However I won't hold my breath, but it's good to stay optimistic.

Like your optimism. I would really hope that at least one person gets their Watch Space Black on the earliest of the delivery window!

9to5 just posted an article regarding our struggle:

http://9to5mac.com/2015/05/11/apple-watch-shipments/

Yep, and they missed the Leather Loop crowd in that report as well. They've also seen a few of their bands ship by themselves.

Same story - they're waiting on a production line, but the bands are ready.

As their window is the same to start, pretty much a certainty that all 3 of these groups are getting produced back to back. (or maybe even in parallel). I'd say whichever has the larger number of orders will get priority (and I'm guessing ours have fewer orders than the regular SS w LB).

The Space Black Watch is the new white iPhone. Problems with getting the color right consistently...
The White iPhone took seven months until it shipped.

Given the complete lack of movement for any of these yet, I strongly doubt Wednesday/Day 1 window delivery for anyone. Friday or something, possibly.

My unbound optimism is telling me that since the pool of Space Black customers is so small compared to other Apple Watch models (1-2 orders of magnitude less) that the sampling of people posting here isn't an accurate representation of Space Black movement on the whole...but you're probably right, I just hope you aren't.

For the love of...

It's not the new white iPhone. Stop the nonsense. The delivery window only BEGINS Wednesday. If it's May 30th with no watch, we can come back to this otherwise....let's not make a frustrating experience even worse with incomparable extremes.

Wow!! That article was a little bit depressing. I am hoping more sites take on the news so that we can get some answers to find out what actually happened. Even after I get my watch, I would still like to know why the delay...

I wonder how much later than the first shipments my Watch will come since I ordered in the last few seconds of May availability...
This wait is already unbearable

Same here. Pissed that it keeps just saying June. Give me a day already!

What is up with the 2 different shades of space black pictured above that article?

That could simply be what everyone was talking about before (gun metal vs black) - how it looked one colour in the display case and another on your wrist.

The colour of lighting will affect how it looks. My guess, those two pics are different lighting sources. The press loves to cause panic - it sells copy. :)

I'm not worried. This is a high end item. Apple wouldn't dare let these go to market with a variance in appearance. It would hurt their image - and they're trying to break into the luxury watch market. They can't afford that.

Right, because it's not like the bands are a pre-req for the assembly of our watches or anything.

Logistics have been explained time and again...it makes sense that the bands ship before the watches when we're waiting on the production line for ours (as we're one of the less popular models).

PFS is just around the corner for most...

From a customer relationship perspective it doesn't make sense. A band, without the watch "capsule" itself, is useless. And if you already received a watch, then you already have a band. So this would be just an extra nice-to-have.

Steel case watches are shipping, which means they are available. Link bracelets are shipping. So why can't they ship the combination of the two?

I would delay a band shipment by 2 days, if it would ensure a full watch+band order delivers earlier by 1 day. The person without a full watch is going to be a lot more irritated than the person without a surplus watch band.

Well so far, Apple hasn't had to delay either customer's order so.....

They're building the most popular combinations. It takes time to re-tool a manufacturing line. There will need to be changes for the different bands to have it work properly. Any changes are downtime.

Apple's trying to make the most customers happy/order fulfilled as quickly as possible. That means those of us that ordered the much less popular high-end will not be scheduled as quickly (it's also quite likely that the link bands themselves weren't manufactured as early as the sport).

And, then, ours also need the DLC plating - so it could even be the SS w LB arrive slightly before ours.

None of us knows how many lines they have running.

Are you aware that there is no delay whatsoever, right?.

Even if all of the preorder watches ship on May 26-27, Apple will be still on time.

The window for shipping these watches was very clear from the beginning. Of course that I would like to see the watch on the 13th, but Apple still has two more weeks to ship this things and keep their promised delivery dates, without any delays.

I know we are all anxious to get our watches, but let's not make a case of a "delay" when it doesn't exist.

Edit: typo
