Steam is not yet released for the mac and if you check finder you will see that the games being downloaded are the PC versions.

Probably best to wait until this is officially released before checking log files and downloading games.

But what the hell do I know.

Where are the downloaded games stored?

I can confirm that "Unauthorized" dialogue is gone when Steam is fired up. Not to worry... It's coming soon.

Because when something is released, I expect for it to work correctly. Something can be a pain whether or not I have a need for it at the current time.

I think the point he was trying to make is that it has not yet been released fully.

I so want to use Steam but I think waiting is the best policy on this one.

You ever heard of the iPhone?

How about MobileMe?

Yea.

So Braid runs fine, although my save apparently doesn't transfer.

However, Portal says "Unsupported Video Card" and then lists my driver details as "unknown" version "0.0.0.0"

I have a Mac Pro with the 7300 GT.

I know it isn't a great "modern" graphics card, but it runs Portal and TF2 and HL2:EP2 just fine on this machine when running under bootcamp even at 1600x1200.

What gives?

TF2 is not even showing up in my game list. I got it through Orange Box, but I also received Portal and Half Life 2 through Orange Box, and it's showing up. But Portal is downloading extremely fast for me, 1.8 MB/s
