 Was shocked when I turned on the TV to hear attack of the show talking about it. I couldn't believe it. RIP steve, you will be missed.

Sad, so sad.
He was great at what he did, on of the few truly great people in this century.
You will be missed, and remembered every time i look at one of my apple devices.

Rest in peace

Here’s to the Crazy One.

The misfit. The rebel. The troublemaker. The round peg in the square hole.

The One Who Saw Things Differently.

He wasn't fond of rules. And he had no respect for the status quo.

You can quote him, disagree with him, glorify or vilify him. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore him. Because he changed things.

He pushed the human race forward. And while some may have seen him as the crazy one, we saw genius.

Because the man who was crazy enough to think he could change the world, was the one who did.
Just bought an Steve Jobs Action figure here, http://www.slickdoor.com/_p2999.html

This is the thing I can do to miss him

Wow, just wow.

I received a text from my wife on my iPhone today. It read "Look at the headline on MacRumors." My heart sank. With trepidation, I opened Safari on my iPhone and saw that one of the greatest innovators in modern history had passed away.

Steve, you brought your visions to reality and redefined the way the world sees things. You inspired. You created. And you followed your passions with your heart.

Thank you. You've had a profound impact on my life and the countless lives of others.

RIP,
Bryan

Steve, this is my second message to you. I wanted to thank you for moving me in the rich direction in life. I'm in Engineering because of you. God speed my friend. Rip.

These words from an Apple commercial some years ago sums everything that is Steven Paul Jobs and should be his epitaph, in my humble opinion.

Thank you, Steve, not just for some insanely great devices and computing platform, not just for 35 years of Apple, but for the vision, passion, and drive that made modern computing and personal technology what it is today.

Rest in peace. May we who survive carry that capacity for vision and passion ever forward.

I don't know why this has affected me so much... Is it his cheer genius? His innovative thinking that changed the whole industry? Damn it I have so much respect for this man...

I got teary eyed way too many times reading some of the comments on here...

You will for sure be missed Mr Jobs...

RIP STEVE JOBS.

My brush with greatness

Though he has been sick for a while, it's still a shock. He was far too young.

I was in the audience for his keynote at MacWorld years ago when he unveiled the titanium notebook. More fans than journalists in the audience back then. A deafening cheer from the crowd when he took the stage. It was like being at a rock concert. A moment I will always remember.

RIP Steve, no more pain. My thoughts are with your loved ones.

Over 2,000 messages of kind words to a great man who will be greatly missed..

Thanks Steve, for daring to Think Different

May you Rest In Peace, Steven Paul Jobs - Your impact on our world will never be forgotten

3rd Street Promenade

:( As soon as I heard, I knew I was going to the Apple Store with flowers and a candle. I just kinda had to.

As it turned out, I had an apple candle on hand--that is, a candle in a holder shaped like an apple. It was meant to be. So I went to 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. There were already some white roses. I set down my purple flowers, lit the apple candle and that became the memorial.

Several news reporters were there asking us how we felt, why Apple, and what we thought Steve Jobs had done and meant. Other people came by leaving some flowers, other candles. One woman stopped with her son and cried; another girl stood by looking devastated. Most apt, I think, was the guy with the skateboard who took his earbuds out of his phone and set them down with the candles and flowers.

Thank you Steve. It's been an honor to witness the legacy that you have left us. You will be missed and never forgotten. :apple:

You will be missed. Rest in peace Steve. Thanks for everything you truly changed the world.

From George Lucas:

"The magic of Steve was that while others simply accepted the status quo, he saw the true potential in everything he touched and never compromised on that vision. He leaves behind an incredible family and a legacy that will continue to speak to people for years to come."
