... sound selfish I know, but after waking this morning and reading this news, I don't want to go to work.

A sad day.

RIP Steve.

First my dad, then my mom, recently Canadian Opposition Leader Jack Layton and now Steve Jobs plus countless others both in my family, friends and others all around the world.

**** you cancer!

Yeah it's an unreal feeling, I don't know why but I've always thought Steve would be around for the next 30yrs.. Sad to see him go at such an age.. I don't know if he could ever be replaced..

It has taken me a while to get through reading every comment on the topic of our dearly missed Steve Jobs.

I don't personally know Steve, but I feel that somehow he did know me because he has created each and every product perfectly with me in mind.

The pictures that people have posted of the Apple stores are incredible, they really do show how many people loved him. We, Apple consumers, are a community and I am really glad that we have Steve Jobs to thank for bringing us all together.

Rest in Peace, I can't wait for the day that I do get to meet you.

I never met you, but your products enriched my life, and your life story inspired me....

Thank you and RIP...

Guys i just can't anymore, its so sad. I just can't believe it, all those keynotes and presentations of magic is now gone forever, nobody will be able to replace you Steve Jobs.

RIP

Many of you know how Apple, Steve Jobs and this forum were a big part of some hugely significant life changes for me. This is very somber news to wake up to.

RIP, Steve.

I have just been in utter shock for the last 7 hours since finding out. I lost my father to cancer 4 years ago and since then have really been inspired by everything Steve has done throughout his life because I'm headed down a similar road as he was when he was starting out. And it is truly upsetting to see this happen. RIP Steve you will be missed and remembered forever by all.

Wow...just...so..unexpected. And it truly is such a visible show of how Steve changed the way the world works..I, like millions of others, found out on an iPhone, a creation of his own innovation. RIP-1955-2011.

Remember what Steve said...

Live every day as if it was your last.

He did, and finally it was. Though completely unsurprising, it is still a shock that the day has come.

This really makes me want to get out of bed and get on with life!

The Future.

Thank you Steve for everything you gave the world. I dont think you have really passed away. Your legacy lives on at Apple and with the countless lives you have forever changed with the amazing inventions you brought to fruition. I joined Macrumors shortly after the release of the iphone in 2007 and I still remember how amazed I was watching that keynote of you presenting what was going to be a real game changer in the industry. Back then the iphone was simply magical and we were just at the beginning of an awesome journey. Makes me feel sad that you only got to see this journey until the public release of the iphone 4s but im sure you already knew the kind of innovations that future iphones will bring.

You were a great inspiration for me and for many people and that is why in a very real sense, you have not died. Not to me at least.

Rest in Peace and maybe even rock heaven just like you rocked our earth.

from Italy

Just wanted to add my voice.
I bought my first Bondi blue iMac G3 many years ago and still love all my apple stuff.

Thank you Steve.

Thank you Mr. Jobs

I have used Apple products for almost 30 years. Sometimes they drove me crazy, the pre OSX crashes and long troubleshooting sessions. But mostly I remember the many wonderful things they allowed me to create, the letters, movies and slide presentations. All of this would never have been happened with so much fun and ease without the vision of Mr. Jobs.
Thank you
A grateful customer of the first hour who will miss your creativity

Thanks to Steve's ideas, everything changed, my life too. He changed the world, rarely a single person can achieve such an thing. I will miss you.
