If I order from John Lewis, can I still return it used within 14 days? Only thing stopping me from cancelling my Apple Store order!
No.

I think you might be able to return it used to JL. They have a 90-day return policy and I've returned an electronic item to them at the outer reaches of that time.
This is their returns policy:

Nope, sadly not. I checked yesterday with high hopes...
"It's important that any unwanted item, unless faulty, is returned in a re-saleable condition. We'd expect this to mean that you've kept all original packaging and labels, and that it's undamaged and unused"
I've never had a problem with returning to John Lewis. They say they want you to be happy with your purchase. I previously returned an Air to them with no questions asked after six weeks.

Just picked mine up from JL and intend to keep this.

When you say you pay what you like over 12 months, I'm assuming that is the buy now pay 12 months later offer? So £104.90 deposit today and then the final amount +£25 settlement fee at the end?
Can you end this agreement early?
It is buy now pay later if you want it to be, or you can buy now and pay within the 12 months as it is completely interest free.
So I aim to just pay £100 a month now and within 10 months it'll be paid off completely.
There's an option to make payments of whatever amount you like at whatever time you want within the 12 months so one month I can pay a lot if need be and then the next month a smaller amount.
Works for me as its interest free and completely flexible.
If you don't pay within the 12 months you then finance the amount over 36 months or whatever - that's when you get hit with APR etc.
Worked out much better than Apple and I got it way before my estimated Apple delivery which is just completely ridiculous but I've made my thoughts on this launch clear.![]()
Sounds good to me, the fact you have to apply for it instore is a pain...
I'll go after work and see what delivery to store times are like! Fingers crossed it's still next day!
Yeah it doesn't make much sense that its done in store. Unless the agent who sorts it for you gets some sort of commission or something?
Anyway, it's a decent deal. I can't express how pleased I am that I had that chance Currys trip on Wednesday! It gave me the kick to cancel my Apple order and go elsewhere.
Ordered a USB-C to USB adapter from Apple last night. Will be here Monday.
That will only ever exist on Apple.com Store.
It's BTO only.

FWIW that's not necessarily true, flagship stores often have the very high end BTO specs - I've purchased a high end BTO spec MacBook from the Covent Garden apple store before.

Just a bit of a gamble I guess.
Nice! What colour did you go for?![]()
I too returned an iPad Air to John Lewis (in my case after just a few days). The guy was a bit reluctant and sniffy but accepted it. It was in perfect condition with all packaging returned.
At least with Apple there is no argument, or 'attitude'. Having said that, John Lewis are very good. I'd choose them any day over Currys, that's for sure.
Went into Stormfront (Truro) today fully expecting to walk out with the 13MBPR. Walked out with a 1.1 SG Macbook.
It's incredible, I love everything about it.
Currys were so difficult over the refund but are now processing. I had not collected it but they said they would need to check it first when returned by the store before they gave a refund
