Ah, good to hear Student Developers have been receiving their copy of Leopard. Mine will go to my home in Hawaii unfortunately so it'll be a few days for my family to mail it to me here in San Francisco.

did anyone get the server version?

Could anyone with a Student ADC account please post if/when they actually receive Leopard server.

I confirmed via e-mail with a European ADC rep last week that students receive server (with license for development/testing purposes only). There's clearly some lack of communication if it's not actually being sent out - at worst, someone changed his mind at the last moment and no-one told the reps :/.

I suggest that anyone who does not receive it, use the standard ADC contact methods.

I was wondering the same thing (i'm an ADC student). I just sent a request to ADC for more information. I already got my Leopard disc plus the November DVD, but no Leopard Server.

Well I (in the UK) received my copy of Leopard today with my mailing but also no Server edition although the normal version is more important to me :)

Did anyone from Southern California get their ADC Leopard in the mail yet?

I registered (student ADC) the day after Leopard came out. The website says it was sent on Oct 30th. Still no sign of it. . .

It takes like 2 weeks to get your first mailing after you register....I doubt yours will be sent out with the rest, since you registered after Leopard's release.

That's weird. I logged into the Developer Connection Member Site and under assets it said:

ADC Mailing - Student --> 1 --> 30 Oct 2008
ADC Student Membership --> 1 --> 30 Oct 2008

I also received an email that said they shipped out. This was on the 30th, I think.

Well, hopefully it's on its way and it won't be two more weeks like you said.

oh, and is it wishful thinking to hope I could use the ADC discount on a refurbished product?

Has anyone heard back from ADC about the inclusion of Leopard Server for students? I sent them an e-mail but still no word back.

Hi everyone -

I just found this thread as I was looking for information on whether student developers will get a copy of Leopard. It seems that they will, so that's great. My wife is a student again (going back for her Master's) so signing her up for the program could be a good way to get a slight additional discount on the OS, plus maybe a hardware discount.

However, my question is - since I just found this today, and apparently the current discs already shipped on Tuesday... If we signed her up today, would we likely have to wait until next month's mailing to get Leopard? Anyone know? It's not the end of the world, but then you do start to think that maybe the extra $10 to get it from Amazon is worth not having to wait so long.

Thanks for any insight!

My student ADC membership was only verified on Nov. 2nd and when I asked them about it I got this reply:

Your initial ADC Student Orientation Kit, which will ship shortly, will include a DVD with Mac OS X Leopard.

This package will be shipped by DHL Worldmail which has a delivery time of 3-10 business days.

You will then begin receiving the the ADC Monthly Mailings from December '07 onwards.

just placed my order for ADC... I am so pumped!

when do you think my leopard will arrive?

Well you will be getting 2 copies of leopard...one pre-installed on your MBP (or at least upgrade included in box), and then the free developer copy in your first mailing.

yeah Im planning to use the upgrade for my old MB.... works out nice...

do you know if there is a %20 discount on the MBP then?

another cool thing, I was able to use my iphone rebate for the ADC membership, so it only cost me the tax!

I dont think I would have been able to use it for the MBP

Got mine yesterday in the mail, no DHL. I'm in Massachusetts, and I didn't get Leopard Server with the regular Leopard install DVD.

Yes there is a discount, you can go into the ADC store to get an exact price.
