The fruit just told me that info about student ADC accounts getting Leopard server was a mistake. Oh well.

My copy of Leopard finally arrived in Australia. No server edition. I was really excited about trying out the server edition. :(

I love apple

I just got my student ADC leopard DVD :D
My membership expired on the day they said they would ship them (Oct 30?), I have done really well out of the student ADC membership -saved a packet on a MBP, and got a free copy of leopard a year after my purchase.:D

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/3B48b Safari/419.3)

Mine just came today but alas, I'm not home to open it :/

ADC student membership question

Do student ADC members receive a OS disk on every update like Like 10.5.1,10.5.2 or only on major updates/releases like Panther,Leopard? I got my Leopard Today, don't know if I'll install it yet. I got a shirt, but Its a XL which kinda sucks, but it was basically free based on the Hardware discount I'll get when I buy a new mac!

Just on the .0 releases like Tiger, Leopard, etc...

Assets?

Signed up for Student ADC on 27 OCT, but my "Assets" page only shows:

ADC Student Membership (Pending)

Am I missing something here? No other emails from Apple or directly from ADC regarding my purchase. Is there something I need to do to address the (Pending) notation?

When I view my store account, it just shows my order details (date/time) and the invoiced cost.

No mailings yet, and obviously no Leopard yet. :-(

Did you send some kind of verification of student status?

Nope... I thought they would instruct me to do just that and where to mail/fax or whatever, but haven't gotten a request for anything. I've ordered hardware from the online education store as recently as 2 months ago without a hitch.

I received 3 immediate emails:

1. The Student ADC "Order Acknowledgment" with web order number -- which also contained my school and student number information.

2. A "Thank You from the ADC" with my 16 digit activation code -- which I then activated on the ADC site.

3. An "Invoice Receipt" -- with invoice number, web order number, customer p.o.number, sales order number.

Since then I have received ADC News #487 and #487 emails.

"After you purchase an ADC Student Membership and receive an Activation Code via email, you must verify your student status before ADC will activate your product."

I think I e-mailed them, as it was better for me.

I see... the problem was lack of initiative on my part. :p

Okay, now that I completed the next step I'll check back over the next several days to see if my status has changed from "Pending" to anything else. Perhaps I'll get the December mailing -- Must. Have. Leopard.

Thanks for your help!

Oops...my bad: I ordered first then registered with ADC...what now?

I registered online with ADC about a month ago, or so I thought.

Today I placed an order for a MBP through ADC, but after reading this thread, I realized I needed to actually purchase my student membership.

I purchased my ADC student membership and got an immediate response from Apple, but have not received a response from Apple for my MBP order.

So do I wait for a verification number from ADC and re-order the MBP?

 When in doubt, read the directions....!

You should call Apple up...I don't think your order will go through, since you weren't a member when you purchased. Call them up, you'll probably have to place your order again once you get verified.

I read all the messages of the thread and I didn't see where anyone said how long it took to get the first verification e-mail from Apple.

I signed up for the ADC Student membership on Wednesday night (it is now Sunday morning) and haven't received any e-mail other than my order number. I went ahead and faxed my student info on Friday night to get the ball rolling.
