Did I forget to come back and tell yall how bad ass this game is?.....wow thats all I can say and now I feel like my wii purchase is justified....this is one beautiful game. I've never had more fun with a 3D mario game.
I bought AC last night and I spent like ten minutes playing it and I almost didn't get any sleep....game is tight.
I'll punch out a review but I'm not that far in the game.

Pick this up yesterday after noon and only have 12 stars. This is probably better than mario 64. I never thought that could have been accomplished but I think it was.
okay, who's getting early leaks of the game? because i thought the game wasn't out for three more days like jimmi said...

Well in the US it's for sale already, and I just started playing it, about 25 minutes into the game. All I gotta say is that so far this game is unreal. I haven't gotten that "fuzzy" feeling ever again since playing mario 64, and once I turned this thing on, and been playing I'm in love with mario all over again. You need to play to experience, and to be honest I need to go back and play. If you have a wii, you need to get this.

My dad picked it up for me when i was at school! I have the box but i need to finish my work first. Then 3 hours of Mario 
It's such an amazing game, I really am in awe. The long wait was totally worth it. To be honest this was one of the main reasons I bought the wii last year, and it paid off. I'm just into the second galaxy, and I think I read that there is 40+ galaxies. I can't wait to explore more! I gotta give credit to Matt over at IGN with the review, the gameplay does feel like mario 64, but in space. And the orchestrated music is so amazing, keeps you totally engrossed. His closing comments are right on the money.
I have about 14 stars. I have even lost about 10 lives! That Rocky Road level was true mario platforming to the max.
The music is absolutely of of the best parts. All these galaxies have the most freaking amazing orchestrated pieces.

Picked it up, been playing it. I have a few complaints about it:
1. Jumping on characters can hard to do sometimes with the angles involved. Easier to shoot them / run into them. Which leads into . . . .
2. The gun aspect of it is the other extreme, makes it seem too easy. just shoot the guys with the stars and run into them, far too easy. Both of these issues are nothing compared to my third complaint, though . . .
3. I'm going to beat this game way too quickly. Why? Because it is unbelievably, amazingly, cocaine-addictedly, tons of fun. I can't put it down. This game is a blast, and anyone with a Wii should pick it up, you will not regret it.
PS - anyone else impressed by the art on the DVD itself? First one I've seen like it (granted I only have 9 games, counting WiiSports), and it looks damn cool.

This is that part I'm pissed at. I get home ready for a full night of Mario goodness but find out I'm missing the damn nunchuk. I lent it to a friend and now it's too late to call. Bastard, gotta wait til tomorrow now.
I went to Toysrus at about 2:30 and they didn't have their shipment in yet, so the guy there told me that they would have it in by 5 at the latest. I went back at 6 and their shipment hadn't arrived, so the new guy told me to call or check back in tomorrow.

I've been neglecting my Wii for some time, but with the Winter break coming It'll get lots of use.
I'm going to our ToysR'Us tomorrow and get it, then use the $25 for Guitar Hero III.
This game looks amazing, and I rarely get excited for anything other than GTA.

Roommate and I headed to Toys-R-Us after our morning class got out around 1pm, the game wasn't on display, but we asked and they had it at the service desk. Also got the $25 card. I was surprised how smoothly it all went. The lady behind the counter was like "so is this supposed to be like, a real good game or something?" and I said "yeah people are saying it's the game of the decade, haha" and she was like "man I don't know nothin' about video games, I gotta find one of those Wii's"

I think at first I had hyped myself up so much for it that it was a bit of a let down.. but then it picked up and now I will say I like it at least as much as SM64. We'll have to wait and see when I finish the game.

Not trying to be pompous but the coin is sooo cool. It comes in this sleeve and a special box inside it to hold the coin with a certificate of certitude for getting the game on launch.

I am absolutely in love with the level with those hovering platinum disks and everything. It is such a beautiful game. The graphics are crazy nice. I just unlocked the Ghostly Galaxy, but have not had a chance to do a level of it.

Made it to 3rd dome last night. First (hopefully not last) Bowser battle was awesome...
Have 10 stars thus far and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Graphics are well done and the level design is truly innovative. I do think the music, for the most part, is annoying as hell and Mario's voice really bugs me now...like...really...bugs me. I would have also liked the punching/kicking from M64 instead of the spin-o-rama but oh well. M64 is still far superior imho but Galaxy is proving to be really fun and enough to keep me away from the crack-like CoD4 multiplayer which says a lot.
You know, after Super Paper Mario, I thought Bowser would have chilled a bit...that he, Peach and Mario would get along just a little bit more than they did in the past. But no. That experience didn't humble him at all. Bowser is such a jerk.
Anyway, this game has my vote for Game of The Year.
And that coin is going to skyrocket in value. Better get them now while they're still reasonably cheap. Anyone get the rare Blue Star coin?
