1000 users. Too low. Can be cooked easily.

Nope. It's pretty much just Verizon and Sprint in the U.S. That's about it.
SIMULTANEOUS VOICE AND DATA = NO - oh lets see, Verizon can't do that. Why would Apple build and iPhone that lacks such a highly demanded feature. T-Mobile will get the iPhone first. I am willing to bet on that.
I am interested in that breakdown as well, if people has a choice of all 4 carriers where would they go.I like AT&T too.
It'd be more interesting if they asked who these users would move to if they had a choice with the iphone: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint or unlocked.
I think that Sprint gets the iPhone before Verizon. Sprint has nothing to lose by going hard after the iPhone, they can't lose anymore subscribers then they already have and they could really pick up a lot of market share if they get the iPhone. It would be Sprints last stand, it either pays off big for them or completely makes the company irrelevant. Can't open the pdf so maybe this is already answered, but more than VZ I'd be curious how well Sprint and T-Mobile would poll for the iPhone. Call me a naysayer, but I really think Sprint and maybe T-Mobile are next in line for the iPhone. I think VZ is going in hard for Android and I think Sprint and T-Mobile would be more willing to accept Apple's conditions.
In fact offering the phone to every other major carrier could also pressure VZ into caving into more compliant to Apple demands (whatever they may be).
My friend Bill is getting married in California this Saturday, and he forgot some stuff in his apartment that he needs me to bring to him when I fly out there later this week.
(as a word of background, we both have iPhones on AT&T).
Last night, and also this morning, he called my cell phone to work out what he forgot. I want to make sure I get everything he needs, but AT&T sucks so bad, both in New York and San Diego, that I'm not sure if I heard him right. He either needs me to bring his "iPad Dock" or his "Eye Mat Ock" or his "hi hat lock"!
What i'm saying is, all cellular telephones, but especially iPhone on AT&T, completely suck. If I had more time, I'd tell you how my girlfriend missed out on a job because of iPhone's visual voicemail malfunctioning.
YOU'RE MAKING ME LONG FOR THE DAYS WHEN I HAD A PAGER ON PAGENET!!!

How much?

I agree. I just don't understand the big deal with Verizon. Their network is slower, no concurrent voice/data access, no rollover minutes, and it is more expensive.
In most places, Verizon's network is always available, its speeds are consistent (and for years were faster than ATT's), and prices are virtually the same.
Rollover minutes often simply mean you overpaid for your service, since they'll never get used.
For many people, having solid voice calls and data connectivity is the most important factor, which is due in large part to not combining voice and data together.
I work in the NYC area where Verizon is king. When we have a critical conference call and someone keeps dropping out because they're on AT&T, no one says, "Oh it's okay because he's using a cool iPhone." Quite the opposite, in fact.
The grass is always greener...
Options and competition will only help users.
I can't stand AT&T (in Los Angeles) - but I will need to verify if Verizon on the iPhone is any better. If it is - why would I not switch?
Nope. Sprint won't get the iPhone at all. Why? Glad you asked. Their 4G is WiMax. They are the only company that I know of that uses that tech and aggressively pushing its deployment. Most of the world is moving to LTE, including Verizon. If Sprint were to move towards LTE, then I would say that Spring may get it first. However since they are going their own separate route, they are only isolating themselves.
I'm committed to AT&T as far as not wanting to pay for early termination. I bet service improves noticeably when the Verizon iPhone comes out as the stress on the AT&T network decreases. Hopefully.
